Hotel El Rubi — Hotel in Huaraz

Firstly, I could not find this place. After minutes of looking around I asked a nice guy from the Claro store and he did not know, so we both looked around for it. After a couple of minutes, we discovered it was next door. I have uploaded a photo for you in case you are lost! The stay was mixed – I really wanted to love this place, but there were some major flaws. The rooms are like they are pictures and looked great. The breakfast was good and the location was amazing. They desperately need some more warm lighting. The lights were very cold / fluorescent, so there was an annoying flashing. There are two big warnings I would give. #1 The wifi is SHOCKING!!! To the point that is was not working for half the time I was there. Huaraz has poor mobile data coverage, so if connectivity is important, look somewhere else.

#2 It is REALLY loud outside 24/7. I was not facing the street, but there is some bar or a house nearby that BLASTS music all night. If you cannot sleep through load noise, it may not be the best place for...

We stayed here two nights and had a okay experience. The room was large and had a big window.

The only thing to note is there is no safe parking in this city what so ever. There is only one public parking garage in the centre and it is right behind the hotel. Very hard to get into and was full our entire visit.

Breakfast was not very good. It came with eggs, juice, coffee or tea and bread. The bread was hard and small. So this wasn't very filling.

The pillows were very uncomfortable and hard. We ended up not using them. And the TV did...

C'est un hôtel 3 étoiles situé en cœur de village a 3052m d'altitude. |Mais les conditions de circulation sont terribles. L'air est pollué et les conducteurs klaxonnent tout le temps ce qui est fait que la rue est très bruyante. J'entre à la réception à 9h30 et vois que le check-in est à 13h. |Malgré cela, en espagnol et en anglais, la réceptionniste me propose directement une chambre. Au second étage. Elle m'y accompagne. Je remarque que cette chambre donne directement sur la rue vraiment très bruyante. |Je demande à changer celle-ci. Autorisation accordée immédiatement et la réceptionniste me propose une chambre donnant derrière l'hôtel. Malheureusement, ce sont les aboiements des chiens errants qui effacent les bruits des véhicules. Cette chambre est assez petite, a la déco surannée, mais propre et comporte une petite salle de bain correcte, mais malheureusement mal éclairée surtout pour se raser. Il est très difficile de se voir dans la glace correctement. Les aménités étaient composées de deux savons et deux petits sachets de shampoing. Aucune brosse à dents et aucun rasoir ou autre chose. C'est un hôtel avec 5 étages. On y prend le petit-déjeuner au dernier étage . Le prix de la nuitée pour une chambre dans cet hôtel 3 étoiles et de 25 € environ dans un environnement bruyant. Il comporte un petit déjeuner basique avec des œufs au choix, une boisson chaude, un jus de fruits, du pain beurre et confiture. Pour mon départ matinal, j'avais demandé une box petit déjeuner, car ce dernier n'était pas pris à l'hôtel .
