Hotel Valencia — Hotel in Huaraz

This hotel is not for travelers who want a bit of luxury. but it is fine for those on a budget. My wife and I have stayed here twice, and found it comfortable, modestly-priced, and well-located (some 2 blocks from the Plaza de Armas on a quiet street. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a street view. The bed was comfortable and warm, with more covers than you'll need. There's hot water and cable TV, plus good wi-fi reception where we were. The only thing missing were night-table lamps for those who like reading in bed. Breakfast is included, though it's not exactly a gut-buster. Worst hotel in Peru!! It was not cheap and the room was not clean and it had water leaking in the bathroom. Avoid this hotel please. Look at the pictures I took so you are not lied about the rooms. They also don’t serve breakfast and don’t have wifi as advertised. Last, when it gets dark they don’t turn off the lights on the hallway. I stayed in the fourth floor and it was so dark when I tried to leave my room. Why they can’t turn on the lights? I could have easily had an accident going down the stairs. This hotel cannot be for tourists especially for foreigners. Why is so hard to take care or improve the rooms?? I...

Me hospedé en el Hotel Valencia I por fiestas patrias, el que queda más cerca a la plaza en comparación con el Hotel Valencia II. Desagradable sorpresa la que me llevé apenas ingresé a la habitación pues al querer abrir las cortinas para que ingresara algo de luz natural a la habitación, en la esquina interna de la ventana había un preservativo asqueroso. Mi amiga justo entró al baño y también se llevó una desagradable sorpresa pues el inodoro estaba sucio! ||Comuniqué inmediatamente lo sucedido al administrador y se acercó una señorita a hacer una limpieza superficial con un trapo y un spray desinfectante, ahí nos dimos cuenta que la limpieza de las habitaciones no se realiza a profundidad.||Decidí olvidar la pésima primera impresión del hotel para poder disfrutar del viaje en sí y de los paisajes hermosos que Huaraz ofrece.||Lamentablemente el último día cuando hicimos el check out, la agencia de viajes que contratamos para los tours y el hotel nos pidió cancelar el 50% restante en el hotel mismo, al hacer la consulta en el front desk si podía pagar con tarjeta visa me indicaron que no habría problema así que realicé el pago respectivo con tarjeta de crédito, pero posteriormente el administrador indicó que YO tenía que pagar una comisión pues el dinero sería para la agencia de viajes y no para el hotel. Tuve que pagar parte de la comisión para que me dejen retirar mi equipaje y evitar mayores problemas pues además la operación no pudo ser cancelada desde el POS de Visa pues el encargado del front desk no estuvo adecuadamente capacitado para realizar este tipo de operaciones.||En resumen:||Mal Servicio y...
