Hotel Galaxia — Hotel in Huaraz

This hotel is right in the centre of the city. The inside with the open patio and green plants gives it a cosy feeling. On the roof is a terrace with a nice view which we forgot to use (stupid😐). First we got a back room with windows on the patio but we always like to have a window facing outside. After our morning nap we could change rooms. The room and bathroom are spacious enough and the walls painted in bright colours. The hotel also has its own travel office. Because of a misunderstanding we did not knew and book two tours in te city. But I recommend to use the agency in the hotel. It is the same programme for less money. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is a little bit sober, only bread butter and marmelade, but the juice is freshman while sitting. We were suposed to have a room with a view, unfortunately there were no windows. Not even in a bathroom. Bed and pillows were hard as a rock - not ideal for resting after long days in the mountains. There were times when there was no hot water - we had to request it. Owners would still pretend that hot water is available 24/7 but we know that's not true. We spent there 5 days and everyday breakfast was the same: bread with jam and coffee. I don't mind eating jam, but 5 days in a row it's a bit too much. O hotel fica em uma localização muito boa de Huaraz, pois é bem perto de vários comércios locais, como padaria, mini-mercados, mercado central, plaza de armas, centro de artesanato, museu, restaurantes, etc.||||O preço é bem justo por aquilo que oferecem: é barato, as acomodações são simples porém confortáveis, o banho é quente.||||O café da manhã é bem simples para aqueles que estão acostumados com hotéis de preço maior, pois só oferecem café (ou chá), dois pedaços de pão, manteiga e geléia... alguns dias foi oferecido suco de laranja também. Se quiser algo mais no café da manhã é possível combinar com a moça que prepara e o preço será barato. ||||O maior destaque do hotel fica pelo staff do hotel, começando pela simpatia da proprietária, a Dona Ines. É uma senhorinha muito agradável e que sempre está presente, pronta para esclarecer quaisquer dúvidas dos hóspedes. Os outros funcionários são bem simpáticos também, como o menino Raúl, que está sempre por lá. ||||O wifi é decente, funcionando no quarto e nas dependências do hotel. ||Oferecem serviço de lavandaria de um dia para o outro, cobrando um preço justo também. Há um pequeno terraço para contemplar algumas partes da cidade.||||Fui com minha esposa em Junho de 2016 e gostamos de lá. Voltaria facilmente.||||Resumindo: é um hotel barato e simples, porém suficiente. A simpatia dos funcionários compensa alguma deficiência de serviço que eles possam ter. Recomendo a todos que não possuem "frescuras" ou que não estejam procurando algo luxuoso....
