Fausto by Andean — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

In my life, I have had the privilege and honor of staying in 5-star resorts and properties around the world. I have also helped launch luxury-branded properties such as the JW Marriott Downtown in Houston and have provided consulting work for luxury hospitality-oriented properties. It is with this knowledge that I can say with a clear mind that Fausto -- and their manager, Fabrizio -- has earned a very special place not only in my recommendations list but in my heart, and has distinguished itself by a wide margin for hotels in Lima.

The brand, Andean, carries a luxury connotation, and Fausto aligns itself with the brand perfectly. The rooms are comfortable and excellently decorated. The ambience is romantic (PERFECT for honeymooning) and welcoming. The materials (such as the sheets, pillows, hot, strong showers and large towels) are checked off effortlessly. The hotel has excellent decor touches and the spaces lend themselves to each other well. This is all great. But what distinguishes itself from other luxury hotels is the attention that has been given to the guest, and in this case, one large gem of a person stood out to me: Fabrizio.

I checked in, by myself, late. My pre-arranged transportation dropped me off at the hotel at 1 AM. I rang the doorbell and was warmly greeted by the bellboy and by Fabrizio. I was surprised to find a manager on property, as it was late, and most properties of this style in Lima do not have a lead overnight. Fabrizio welcomed me, placed my exhausted self in a safe, quiet and beautiful room and welcomed me the next afternoon (again!) as I finally ventured downstairs for some coffee.

His excellent recommendations, extensive knowledge of wine and hospitality and warm demeanor was wonderful. He personally made sure I was well-taken care of during my stay in Lima. I had to cut my trip short by two days since there was a hurricane headed for my home town, and he took care of any logistics on the back end. I didn't have to think, it was done for me. As a woman traveling solo, I felt safe, and this is invaluable.

I feel like he could be put in a remote, dark pit somewhere and he would make it warm and welcoming. As someone in the hospitality industry, I know individuals like this are rare and hard to come by. It is my greatest recommendation to Andean that you hold on to him - tight.

And as far as guests go, BOOK THE HOTEL ITS GREAT 100%. Especially for honeymooners (I wasn't one, but it is perfect for that)! I can't...

Impresionante, Íntimo, Ingenioso

Team Fausto is simply amazing. There is not a corner of the property or a space in the room that is not thoughtfully filled with a beautiful momento of Peru or world travel or a magnetic item that’s beautiful. We did a Dad & Daughter South America trip and took the Grand Familiar room for some extra space and it was superb.

Just two blocks from the wonderful pacific ocean malecón and less than a 20 minute walk to downtown Miraflores, it’s a great location for easy car p/u & d/o and very walkable to some of the enjoyable eateries that are a diner’s delight (La Mar, Ocean Azul) and many sangucherías and other cevicherias.

The rooftop is like nature’s haven and the living room is like warm amber, both are cozy and chic and great places to relax with a fully stocked kitchen at your fingertips. Not to mention that breakfast was a delight every morning from homemade butter to a seriously serious cappuccino machine.

Though the books I flipped through were endlessly interesting, the ornaments placed around were gorgeous and unique (I bought two mugs, I was obsessed) — it was truly the team of Antonio, Andrea, and Fabrizio that made our stay feel like a home filled with friends.

If you’re thinking about where to stay in Lima between Barranco or Miraflores, and where in Miraflores may fit your needs, I have no doubt this team and this gorgeous home will nourish and inspire you to keep coming back.

If you are looking for a truly unique and homelike place to stay in Lima, look no further. Fausto is the place to be in - starting with it’s unbeatable location - close to the sea, close to the famous Larcomar mall, close to the best pollo ala brasa in town, close to the fantastic Amano museum . Fausto is located on a quiet street for an excellent rest at night.

The house is tastefully decorated and furnished with design pieces, that you feel straight at home. Modern neutral colors and wooden floors invite you to unwind. Stylish, yet comfortable beds add to the comfort of your sleep, specially after the long flight over the ocean.

The roof top terrace and the honesty bar are charming additions to the comfort of the house.

And if that’s not enough, a personal greeting card and a thoughtful gift will wish you a good sleep every night.

Fabrizio, the host, would go far beyond the common hospitality to make you feel at home and will also help you soak in the local atmosphere and fully enjoy it. He gave us a short tour, pointing out the best points of interest.

Jonathan, the warmhearted chef would prepare the best breakfast and serve it to you in the cosy inner yard, full of greenery and light.
