San Agustin Exclusive Hotel — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the San Agustin Exclusive Hotel in Lima, and we were absolutely delighted with our experience. From the moment we arrived until the day of our departure, everything about our stay exceeded our expectations.

First and foremost, I must highlight the exceptional service we received from the reception staff, particularly Diana and Nancy. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made our stay truly memorable. Their dedication to ensuring that guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay is truly commendable. We were greeted with welcoming smiles, and they went above and beyond to cater to our needs and preferences throughout our stay.

One incident that truly showcased the outstanding service was when we encountered an issue with some clothes that needed laundering. Diana and Nancy took immediate action to resolve the situation. Not only did they personally ensure that our clothes were collected from the laundry, but they also went the extra mile by arranging to have everything carefully packed and sent to us in Europe. Their commitment to guest satisfaction and problem-solving skills are truly commendable, and we are incredibly grateful for their efforts.

Apart of the exceptional service, the hotel's central location allowed us to easily explore the nearby attractions, restaurants, and cultural sites, further enhancing our stay in Lima. Whether we were enjoying a leisurely stroll through the vibrant neighborhood or indulging in some of Peru's culinary delights, the convenience of the hotel's location was a definite plus. We were there with a group tour. Stayed there twice, a couple of nights at the beginning of the tour and a couple of nights at the end. The location is ok, easy walk to many attractions. That's were the positivity ends. We had two different rooms and each had their shortfalls. Our first room was spacious enough (beside/behind the elevator)but was dated and the bed uncomfortabley hard (for one of us lol). The room for the second stay was worse. It was small, very tight space so much so that we hurt ourselves while moving around the bed as the space between the bed and the wall was small. No side table for that close to the wall side. The bathroom was a step up from the floor of the room. So strange. ||We never bothered with breakfast as after the first day our group let us know it wasn't good and only the die hard breakfast people went for the meager offerrings and coffee. I suspect our breakfast bars and the instant coffee we brought from home were just as good. The hotel tried to supply dinner twice for our group. I suppose this was requested by the tour operator but the hotel should have been honest and told them they don't do dinner. The attempt was awful. Seriously, they provided such bad food and poor service even our tour provider had to find alternate arrangements for our second stay as the food they provided was an insult to food. ||There is a bar but is isn't open after 9:00 pm. We tried to get some wine but the staff don't speak english and they don't even know what they have. ||Overall if you expect a level of service beyond a roadside motel don't bother staying here. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The only good thing about the hotel was management that helped with giving us a different room. Upon arrival, the customer service was not that great. I wasn't feeling well and wanted to lay down right away but, smelt an intense urine smell. I thought maybe it was just my smell senses and that a bath would help. The bath did not work, so I decided to lay down again. The smell of Urine was so bad, it smelt like it was deep in the mattress. I was not able to call the front desk with their phone and had to call off my cell phone. Management came up and smelled the pillows and asked if they could change the sheets. I said absolutely not, that smell was coming from the mattress. I do not recommend this hotel. On the surface it looks nice but, it is not worth the money you pay for.
