Super chill when I went. I went for the ceviche and it did not disappoint. I asked for it spicy as well. I nearly licked the bowl. It was that delicious. It seems a little pricey to me, but I guess you can't really find ceviche for under 40 Sol. I can only speak to the ceviche, but the guy next to me said he really enjoyed his Lomo Saltado and it looked delicious too.
It's a no-frills spot, which is my favorite. I can see myself getting pretty wasted here and eating some good food. Service was on point. The pisco sour was good. I was able to get by with my limited Spanish. Will definitely be coming back.
UPDATE: I ended up going back again and was incredibly disappointed. The place was packed on a Sunday, so instead of waiting an hour my friend and I (a local) decided to go somewhere else for drinks and then come back. We were able to get sat immediately about 45mins before the restaurant was due to close.
We sat down on a dirty table, which we cleaned up ourselves before they switched out the table cover. Upon ordering, we weren't allowed to order certain dishes. Not only were we rushed (he pointed at his watch) and we knew what time it was so we were trying to make quick decisions anyways, but he was extremely rude. We ended up with two orders of the ceviche and two pisco sours. It was the most citrusy, sour, and tart ceviche and pisco sour we've had. I lost trust with my friend because I told her this was great. She was very disappointed. We asked for for hot sauce to cut down on the citrus. We also used the salt from the corn nuts to cut down on the citrust as well. We had to chase it down with our glass of chicha morada.
I am a very generous tipper, but I let my friend take over the tipping even though I paid for the food and unfortunately due to our experience, she left a very small cash tip indicating very bad service (similar to two quarters in the states). I had to calm her down, but she was very upset and disappointed and adamant about not leaving a tip.
Regardless of the service, the atmosphere was great. While I will not be returning, this is a great place to get some drinks and get loud. Ignore the reviews off Trip Advisor or YouTube. The ceviche here is...

Read moreDue to the service being awful, I would go as far as to strongly discourage people from coming to this establishment. I have been living in Lima for quite some time, and there is no excuse for the service to be this bad, even on slow nights. Last night, was remarkably empty yet the waiter didn't come with the check for over 20 minutes after I asked. We also waited for 20 minutes to even be spoken to, without water, without the little complimentary snacks. The family next to us however, who was sat after, probably more "local," were given their drinks and little appetizer well before us. Anywhere else works better: Pejerrey Point, La Preferida (open in the evenings), Punto Azul, Horneando Ando, Terminal Pesquero, all of which have wonderful service. It is time management fix their terrible service. In another instance, there was a man by the door doing nothing but ushering people in and not helping the one waiter get drinks/orders. How does it make sense that he does nothing, while the other waiter drowns? I will never come again. The food is not...
