• THE WORST EXPERİENCE • Based on the rating here I took my fiance there on a date night and from the first second we’ve stepped in everything was terrible. It was a bit later than 20:30 on a Tuesday night. Nobody welcomes or shows a table so we took a place because the place was almost empty. Two waiters working and someone comes in 5 minutes. We ordered a burrata for starter two glasses if wine and a “grande” pizza. By the way my fiancé noticed that they have two different prices for the same wine and warned them about it and came to an agreement about getting it from the lower price. Burrata and wine came in 12-15 minutes. Wine was okay but Burrata was the worst I’ve ever seen. The presentation and the taste was so bad. I don’t understand how they can fail such a great combination but they did. We were so hungry so we ate it and said anyway. Im glad we did because even after 50 mins there was still no sign of our pizza and we had to ask twice for it. In the end they brought our pizza to the table and OMG it was cold! Waiting more than 50 minutes for a cold pizza!! Also the bread of it was terrible its not pizza at all its a type of flat bread and I don’t understand how does this place calls them Italian? We’ve complained about the pizza and sent it back. The store manager was just watching everything from the bar… 1.5 hrs of terrible experience and we leave this restaurant angry and hungry. I would not recommend...
Read moreit's okay. The cocktail I ordered (Algarrobina) was not very good (Pisco with some chocolate flavor- I had no idea it had chocolate from the description on menu). I had the "Penne Al la Vodka Especiale" for my entree which is supposed to come with shrimp but they mistakenly forgot to add the shrimp (they apologized for this... it made me feel bad to see the genuine disappointment the waiter had and his sincerity in wanting to correct the mistake). The cream was lot heavier / thicker then what is typical with al la Vodka sauce - not sure if this was just a peruvian-fussion version of this dish. The portions are very small - the entree was the size of a small Appetizer served in USA. They did offer me a "discounted" appetizer for the mistake with entree (which they said was going to be complimentary but it may have been confusion from translation) and I got the garlic shrimp which was not very good (I don't recommend it). The difference in price between the normal penne al la Vodka which I was served and the "especiale" version that came with shrimp was ~PEN16; I paid the full price of the "especiale" version but the shrimp appetizer was not added to bill (hence why I say it was "discounted" ). I left hungry. Location is good, a few blocks away from Bridge of Sighs on a main street. If not for the friendly staff my rating would...
Read moreWe decided to check this place out last night since we heard some people recommending it for the Pizza and we are on the search for great Italian style pizza in Lima. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the place and it’s simple layout. They were able to seat us where we wanted, and even though they have table bells to call the server, the servers were very attentive and always came over if we looked up. I guess I had some high expectations so I’ll try to be as kind as possible. The “endive salad” did not have endives, but lettuce, yet the ingredients were obviously fresh and good quality. Our pizzas were definitely not Italian. The crusts are extremely thin, almost like a cracker, and the cheese quality tasted like it was shredded mozzarella from a bag. The sauce actually was very tasty, but we probably won’t be going back there for Pizza. I didn’t get a chance to try the pastas, but the drinks were really yummy. We got a hierba Luisa lemonade and a frozen lemonade with grenadine syrup, which was very refreshing. All in all I would say it’s a safe place to eat. If you’re from out of town seems like the kitchen and ingredients are high-quality, but don’t expect true Italian fare here.
