Camerino Caffe — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

Was not expecting much of this restaurant, the menu didn’t look that great and the atmosphere was meh, but it was across the street from my hotel so I said screw it. Was pleasantly surprised how good my sandwich and truffle chocolate was! Nothing special with my chicken avocado sandwhich just avocado, chicken and maybe a little mayo. But the ingredients tasted very fresh and they didn’t smother it with sauce. The bread was good too, in the same way, nothing special just basic warm fresh baguette. Reminds me of how my mom made it. Was looking forward to this place, but it missed the mark. They list decent desserts on the menu but none of them are fresh. Got a slice of the chocolate cake everyone was raving about and it was so dry... rock solid. They have desserts in the display that must be sitting there for god knows how long. Why would you give that to a customer if it wasn't fresh? That's just cheapness on the owner's part.

Attention to client is not there. What they present on display is not what you're going to be served. Please ask beforehand as the prices are for foreigners. I asked for a dessert which was on display. They told me 17 soles. 4.45 US dollars.
