I had high expectations for this restaurant but ended up extremely dissapointed with the service. For the price, our party was treated poorly and with total rudeness. It was 5 of us: aunt, mom, mom's boyfriend, my daughter and I. It was my mom's boyfriend first time in Lima, he is from Ecuardor. I don't really remember what plate he ordered but he asked our server what the plate consisted of and the server replied "what do you think?" in a super rude and sarcastic way! My aunt stepped in and said he is not Peruvian, he is from Ecuador. Then he explained what the plate was made of in a very rude way like he hated his job. Then I had my two year old daughter with a backpack leash (we were visiting from Los Angeles and I felt safer having her in Lima with that to be honest) and our server says "why do you have her like that?" Like telling me how to parent my own child! I just ignored him because he was seriously the worse server ever, and needed to mind his own business, maybe I should tell him how to do his job better! Make sure to check your bill before paying because that bread and butter they serve before the food is charged without any notice. The server brought that without asking if we wanted any so we assumed it was courtesy bread but nooooo! When my mom checked the bill it was like 35 soles! Like $10 for that bread! It is not honestly about the money, it is about the principle and the way they conduct business, not only that but we were already fed up with the way our server was treating us! So my mom complained and at first the server told her everybody pays that, we didn't even want the bread and we wouldn't have ate it if we knew we were gonna get charged! My mom asked for the manager and they kindly offered to reverse the transaction and charge our card without the bread! Anyways, I will probably never go back to this restaurant! I get treated better at Olive Garden here in Los Angeles than at this "high class" restaurant. Wish Peru had Yelp so I can leave a Yelp review...

Read moreThe Dinner That Shut Karen Down (Except for the Espresso Martini)
Picture this: my boyfriend and I waltz into this coastal gem of a restaurant, ready to live our best oceanfront lives. Now, I’d seen a particular review from someone I’ll call Karen (because, well, it fits). Karen said this place was “new money trash.” Trash?! Really, Karen? Who hurt you? I bet she wears sunglasses indoors and argues with customer service reps for fun.
Anyway, we ignored Karen’s warning, and thank goodness we did. From the moment we walked in, it was a vibe. The DJ was on point, spinning beats so smooth they could have been buttered. Drinks were flowing, and while most were chef’s kiss, the espresso martini… well, let’s just say it tried its best, but it felt like it needed a nap.
The ceviche, though? Life-changing. Like, where have you been all my life kind of good. And the Angus beef steak? Let’s just say my boyfriend had to remind me to chew because I was in some kind of food nirvana.
The cherry on top? The view. Waves crashing, the sun setting in a way that screamed, “This moment deserves a postcard.” Meanwhile, I imagined Karen sitting somewhere, scrolling Yelp, still bitter about life.
Final thoughts: Karen needs a hug and better taste. The ceviche was divine, and the espresso martini… well, nobody’s perfect. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I bring Karen?...
