Awful experience. First impression was still decent: good location, relatively spacious room with a small balcony. But then the drama started: Taking shower on the first evening was difficult as literally only a few drops of water coming out of that shower but at least it was hot. The central location makes for a lot of noise from outside and inside as the room is not soundproof at all so you hear all the noise and music from the street until after midnight and every word and movement from other guests at the hotel. Next morning we had to get up at 5am to get to Machu Picchu early and here we go: Shower was completely cold, what a great start to the day. At the reception there was no one with whom we could claim so we took a cold shower and went to Machu Picchu without any breakfast provided - although included in the price. When we came back at 12 noon I immediately claimed that there was no hot water in the morning but was assured that the problem was fixed - but it wasn't! And the room wasn't made up either, so again we claimed that the shower was cold and the room wasn't cleaned. We went to the hot springs saying that we want those problems fixed when we come back and they assured everything would be fine - but it wasn't. When we came back at 4pm the room was at least made but the shower still cold - so we cancelled out second night in that hotel and got only a partial refund and moved to another hotel which was fine (Inti Pacha Palace, hot shower, yay!). Awful experience in what should have been a great experience. Absolutely avoid staying at this place if you don't want to ruin your experience in...
