|This Hotel was not centrally located, but in a location very accessible to the Train and Bus Stations, the Central Square, lots of Restaurants and the Market.||The rooms are nice and comfortable, and the Bathroom was clean with some nice products that are generally provided in better hotels. ||The Breakfast Room on the 7th floor was spacious, and the food (ordered the night before) was freshly prepared and hot. We had great views of the mist on the surrounding mountains while we were having our early morning coffee.||What impressed us most was the Staff – Deybi, Adnemir, Anani and Wendei (My apologies if I have got the spellings wrong). They were particularly friendly, extremely helpful and very accommodating, and we cannot thank them enough for their caring attitudes and for going out of their way to make us feel welcome. When we called and informed them that we were running a little late returning from Machu Picchu, and to keep our stored luggage ready and waiting for us, they let us know that we can go straight to the Train Station, and two of them brought the luggage to us there, so we would not miss our train. We have never seen such service before. A sincere Thank You to all of them…!||We were only here for one night, but will recommend this hotel to all our friends who are planning a...
Read moreIf you drive a Bentley you probably won't like this hotel, or of you're a 4 Seasons person who needs a personal assistant to turn down your sheets nightly.. If you're more simplistic and want to connect with yourself and the surroundings, immersing yourself in the culture you will love it. Located right in the middle of shops it's central to everything. The staff bends over backwards to accommodate you. The breakfast was local and authentic. The room had the basic necessities, a bed. A shower. Hot water. After climbing Manchu Piccu all day and the train ride up, what else do you need? The stark white linens and comforter (softer than swan feathers I might add), plus the cute key with a Peruvian doll attached made for an aestically pleasing stay. The walls are a bit thin, and you should close your curtains because our room allowed a full view of the open communal area. This airy feel added to the ambiance for me. |Note: no elevators, and it's located on a steep hill if you have issues preventing that. But my has had several surgeries and she made it up and down just fine. I visited in April about a year and a half ago, but that wasn't an option on the timeline. Lol I would love to sleep here again. |You can take transportation or walk to Machu Piccu...
Read moreI arrived in Aguas Calientes with the rest of my trekking group after a 4-day Lares trek, and stayed here for one night before visiting Machu Picchu. The hotel is nice, calm, the receptionists are friendly and the facilities are clean. The balcony door didn't lock and the shower water was lukewarm when everyone showered at the same time. But overall, the bed was comfortable, the view was amazing (over a courtyard in the street, with a small balcony), basic toiletries were provided and the breakfast was fine, albeit a bit late. The ambiance in the hotel is cool, too, with candles and incense (but not too strong) in the hallways. Wifi works best in the lobby, which I didn't mind as there were plenty of places to sit. I would stay here again - the price is...
