For starters we discussed the menu and grilled meat offerings with staff before making a reservation. A range of steak options were presented on a list with pricing by the gram. We made the reservation. Upon arriving we asked for a wine list. No list. "Let me tell you what we have". We were offered a "premium Chilean cabernet sauvignon"... for S/560, but they would discount it to S/520 ($157). We agreed, they opened and decanted it with great ceremony. Ultimately they poured it, not offering a tasting. We ordered steaks and the rest of dinner. They returned to advise us that they didn't have what we had ordered. We asked that the tell us what steaks they had...answer: we have no steak; the cattle have all died. So, we asked for the grilled beef that they use for the mixed grill (lomo); there was much discussion about how we wanted it cooked. One came as ordered, and one was well-done and was sent back. Roughly twenty minutes after the other dinners had finished, the last dinner showed up. Beyond this, service was spotty, though cordial. In all, we were enticed to dine there when they knew they didn’t have what we were intending to order. And, in checking on the wine, it sells for S/42 ($14US)...we paid roughly ten times retail. Feeling totally ripped off? You bet! Staff is very friendly. A major hustle is what's going on. It's a good looking place with nice staff, near three star tourist hotels. Total hustle of senior travelers from the States, using the local hotels. Beware. We were carelessly trusting and paid for it. (PS: It wasn't due to...

They try to get you to come in with offering cheap drinks and a cheap meal. Once you are seated they charge you the regular price and act like they don’t know what you are talking about when referring to the employees on the street enticing you to come in for a good deal. The service was awful and had to keep reminding the waiter to put our food order in. He kept saying he forgot and when first seated he told us about a special that included 3 courses and then when reminded about dessert he said it would be an extra charge. The atmosphere was great with the decor and live music but the service and food are not good. Do not recommend this place and falling for their scam. Much better places to go...

Another one to add to the list of shocking establishments littered around the town of aguas Calientes. The pizza was not familia size I was expecting it couldn't even feed a bulimic! I'd be pushing it if I called it a pizza as it was a bit of dough with cheap underwhelming cheese making up 80% of the meal. My biggest gripe was that they offer a 4 for 1 deal which is a complete con, luckily I've cottened on to the fact that these underdeveloped halfwits will try and cons me at any chance possible and think I'm some sort of uneducated moron. Please steer clear of this shocking establishment as they will try and bleed the tourist dry!

I was taken here tonight as part of my tour of Machu Picchu with KB Adventures and the food was included. What to say about the food? It was average at best but pretty much on par with most of the establishments in town at the same price point. Service? I’ve never had food put in front of my so quickly. No sooner had I finished one course than the next had appeared in front of me. Atmosphere? Pretty nonexistent tbh. The thing that kept me entertained (I was eating alone) was the staff in the open kitchen; you’ll be pleased to know that they wear hairnets and face masks.

Beautiful restaurant with helpful and friendly staff. Interior decor is eye catching, fireplace adds to the charm. Quality of the food is pretty good, prices are above mid-range but not ridiculously pricey. This is expected. It wasn't a busy afternoon but it became busier nearer supper time as groups started arriving. Book if you want to secure a table. Atmosphere is quite lively. Highly recommended...and oh, those tiny rounded bread are just what you want after your trek, matched really well with the dips that came with it.
