The hotel is located near a train station, and close to the bus terminal of Machu Picchu. I had stayed here for seven nights. The hotel or B&B has provided some basic facilities for guest. Inside, I really like the comfy bed, however the shower room was quite small , the hot water was not functioned properly( have to wait for a while for some hot water) As a solo traveller, the room was quite spacious enough for I. The staffs were the brightest point for this hotel, they were lovely and nice but unable to communicate in a proper English (need a translation program to communicate with them). But, they will try to make you feel like home as they can. If you don’t mind the basic facilities, this place would be a great choice for you to rest and prepare to witness the great Machu Picchu. Overall, a decent place to stay while visiting Machu Picchu.|||Ps. The small cafe which enclosed with this hotel has the best Pisco sour ever in Machu Picchu , and the price was fairly cheaper than other Pisco sour in this area.( I tried more than 25 Pisco sour...
Read moreThis B&B is really close to the train station, great if you’ve got bags (as the town has lots of slopes and cobbled streets) It’s clean, has a lovely comfy bed with lots of covers and a decent hot shower. It has free WiFi which only works intermittently, TV which has some english channels and plays English films (which was brilliant!) and a gorgeous, friendly cat which came and sat on my lap! ||||The downsides are it’s right next to a school / sports hall which made as much noise as possible from 6.30-23.30 (played music / drums/ spoke over the microphone, made loud bangs continuously) both the days we were here. The windows are just sliding glass so having them shut makes no difference (thankfully we had earplugs) and all the bedrooms face this way. Also the breakfast was very thin, stale bread, jam and coffee - very disappointing. It has a restaurant which we didn’t eat in. ||||None of the staff speak English so difficult to...
Read moreHotel Wachuma is located very close to the train station. We knew that accommodation in Aguas Calientes was overpriced and Wachuma is no difference. It is in a similar price to all the other hotels in Aguas Calientes. It seems to be run by an older lady who has limited english in her vocabulary, but she was sweet nonetheless. She made us breakfast every morning and the fresh orange juice was devine. Our room looked clean on surface, but there was lots of mould in the bathroom - shower and roof. It was a bit run down and delapidated. It is also situated right next to a school, but we were up early every morning to go and visit Macchu Picchu, so the kids playing and going to school did not bother us.||||The room had a great feather duvet and a proper tv if you wanted to watch anything in spanish. We had some amazing mountain views from our second...
