Full Moon Ecolodge — Hotel in Ollantaytambo

Edit. Changed review from 5 stars to 2 due to barking dog at 3am incessantly every night. Poor dog management!!! The owner doesn't care if you sleep or are woken Up every night for 2 or 3 hours in the night due to the dogs. Ive slept horribly. :( The dogs live in the living room near the garden and instead of leaving them inside the closed door to create peace for tenants they will allow them to barking at nothing. This would have been my favorite rental ever but after staying here for over a week I can say that I haven't gotten any good sleep and I'm very disappointed now. I've gotten up every night after sleeping peacefully for 4.5 hours due to the dog losing it's mind for 30 mins barking and barking. I've gone down 3 flights of stairs every night to shut the door again. That magically opened again. The dogs are innocent, but the management of the dogs is quite disappointing.

The window fell out in the bathroom, it was not secured in the frame while I was preparing g for shower and it cut my pants and broke on the floor, they charged me for the window that was just sitting up there not secured. I travel and live in peru sometimes for months at a time. This accommodation is really special. The hosts are exceptional and even speak some english! The rooms are clean and high quality. The showers are SUPER hot. The room is very affordable. You can hear the river flowing from the room and the views are Incredible. I highly recommend this space for anyone that wants an quiet place in walking distance from town. There's a 4 day festival going on in town right now where they are blasting music all night and starting at 7 am with drumming and loud bands in all the streets. This is farther away from that and away from the music. I feel so relieved to have found this beautiful accommodation. 😍 it might be my favorite I've ever had in the sacred valley/cusco area. There's even a bath mat, a floor mat for when you get out of the shower, which I've never seen here. Excepional!

Also the dogs here. She takes good care of them. They are sweet animals and like to be patted. If they are kept in the house at night it would be most acceptable. Bello lugar donde tuve las oportunidad de alojarme una sola noche. Muy cómodo y tranquilo. Me dormí escuchando el suave sonido del agua, y se veía increíble la noche estrellada.
