Just a few steps off the main square, De Ellas is by far the best meal we had in town. First of all, unlike several restaurants in town they have wine other than Peruvian. That’s important if you like wine. We were coming off a long day at Machu Picchu and wanted something simple and satisfying. We got the chicken curry (pollo al curry) and it is amazing. Read moreWe stopped in after Machu Picchu for a quick dinner and really liked it. The chef was also the server and apologized for the delay but the food still came out fast, and our burger and fries weren't anything great but was good and cheap. In a town with a lot of touristy places, this is an excellent choice.
One thing to note is Google's hours aren't right. They don't seem to have any posted so that isn't their fault, but they didn't open when we tried to go back at 2:30...
