I was taking the "Andean Explorer" to Cusco so wanted a place within walking distance of the railway station. This was only 5 minutes away, near Parque Pino where there are lots of eating places and a market. I walked from the bus station in 20 minutes. The front desk staff at the hotel only speak Spanish but even with my basic understanding, they seemed to anticipate what I needed and I was very happy with the room and the security. There was always someone around if you needed to ask for anything. I wanted to ask what the MYSTIC meant in the hotel name, but that was beyond my Spanish and I probably wouldn't have understood the answer anyway. They gave me a brochure of a tour to see the Uros people on their floating island that was very cheap. They called the tour company at short notice for me, I was picked up and dropped off at the hotel, and I found that I had paid a little less than other travellers on the tour so I was happy that I got a bargain. (The tour was very good by the way, though touristy.) Wifi in the room...
