Hostal Virgen de las Nieves II Centro — Hotel in Puno

We stayed there for one night at one of the triple rooms with shared bathroom. The staff were really helpful and they helped us book a tour to the Uros Islands for quite cheap. Breakfast and the room were good too. Our only complaint is that the bathrooms were not clean. Some bathrooms did not even have a shower pit and/or curtains and the shower head was literally in the middle of the bathroom. The showers were not hot and when we managed to get them a bit hot, then the pressure was extremely low. This hostel is extremely good value for money. The rooms were spotless, we had clean towels and breakfast included. Bathrooms and showers were perfect too. When we first arrived we met Oscar at the desk - one of the most friendly and helpful people we have met so far on our trip!! He viajado por todo el mundo y esta es probablemente una de las peores habitaciones en la que he estado. La puerta de entrada a la habitación era de metal y tenía un cristal que deja pasar la luz, parecía más bien la entrada a una cocina o un baño. La habitación tenía 3 camas puestas de tal forma que casi no te podías mover. Había una ventana roñosa que no cerraba y entraba frío. De las camas menor no hablar. Una estaba inclinada y tenía 4 mantas de cartón piedra que debían tener unos 30 años mínimo. Las otras dos tenían en los pies un saliente de plástico que no entendimos que era y no podíamos quitarlo. El baño te hacía sentir en un centro penitenciario. Era imposible poner el agua a una temperatura templada para ducharte, o bien te congelabas o bien te quemabas. El desayuno sin más, lo típico de este país. La verdad que nos engaño las fotos. Deben tener 2 habitación estratégicamente ordenadas y cuidadas para las fotos pero el resto son para mear y no echar gota. Creo que hablo desde un punto de vista objetivo europeo.
