From start to finish my stay at the Huaytusive Inn was perfect! ||Not only is the staff so friendly, the room is very spacious and super clean (I had a double bedroom), the water is HOT which is so important in Puno as it gets cold at night, the breakfast is very fresh (fresh fruits, fresh juice, fresh coca leaves and muna for infusions, fresh bread!!) and the location is perfect!!! (short walk to the park and to the Plaza de Armas and a nice 15min walk down to the docks!).||||The staff will help you book your tours, arrange for you to get picked up by a taxi, help you book your buses if you travelling outside of Puno and even put your breakfast in a bag to carry if you do not have time to eat on site.||||I stayed for 5 days as I was attending a congress in Puno, it was very easy for me to get to the local buses as it is only two blocks down from the street. Moreover, I arrived very early in the morning and as my room was not ready yet they put me in another room so I could rest (I had been travelling for almost one day). ||||I cannot recommend it enough, for the price you pay you will rarely get this kind of service (I live in Peru half of the year and have traveled quite a bit and this is the...
Read moreI arrived in Puno and felt really sick. I had a bad case of altitude sickness. Thankfully, check in was fast and the hotel was very quiet. I was able to sleep and felt much better after my nap. I had a room right next to the bathroom so it felt like my own bathroom. There's hot water and an extra blanket in the room for those cold nights. During breakfast, they make fresh pineapple juice which was amazing! I don't know when breakfast was supposed to start, but everything was available at 6:30! They also put my luggage in storage for the day while I visited lake Titicaca. I returned at 5pm and had to wait until 9pm for my bus. They allowed me to wait in the reception. My only complaint is that WiFi didn't work on the 2nd floor. I had to come to the reception...
Read moreWe were robbed at this hotel on 11/04/2025, all of our valuables and cash (over $2000USD worth) were taken from inside our room whilst we were out. We think it was an employee of the hotel as our room was definitely locked when we left and there was no sign of forced entry. So the thief must have had access to a key. Unfortunately because there are no cameras pointing at our room the police have done nothing. The owners of the hotel helped us to contact the tourist police but aside from that they were not helpful at all. They did not try to communicate with us, they offered no apology, compensation or even a follow up message. Very...
