In terms of value for money this place was a hidden gem as far as we were concerned. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was one of the best we had. We ended up staying 2 nights in total (one either side of a stay on Lake Titcaca). The location was fab for what we wanted, the rooms were large and the hot water flowed. It was clean, the beds were firm but comfy and they looked after our bags for free while we went out to the Lake. While my initial expectations were quite low based on the price I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if in the area, but to be perfectly honest I would pay more to stay as the experience was so good. ||Ask for a room in the middle of the hotel (203, 303, 403) as the ones facing the road (which was the room we had the first night) can be noisy. If you are a heavy sleeper it probably wouldn't bother you. If you are more into what a place looks like you may be concerned about the dated decor, don't be you get used to it and the cleanliness to me is the most...

We arrived in this hotel late in the evening. When we saw the room we saw hairs, dirt, nails en blood spots in bed. This was the last thing we wanted after the whole dat travelling. When we told the owner about the hygienic in the room she said that she cleaned the room: so everything was clean: so we were lying. We asked her to come upstairs to check it by herself, But she rejected to walk with us and she was sure we were lying because ‘she cleaned the room’. No sence of hospitality, super unfriendly and very arrogant. This Made me angry and said to her that she has to work on her service in her hotel! This was the moment she was going mentel and wanted to kick us out of the room. Never experienced this in my whole life, this woman had Some real problems. People: be warned and...
Read moreI had booked this hostel based on reviews and quite frankly I was a bit disappointed. I booked a triple room, which was super tiny it almost felt like all three were sleeping in the same bed. I took a shower at night and there was no hot water! In Puno, that's almost unforgivable. I told my friend to go to the front desk and ask someone if they were having problems with their hot water, but there was no one at the front desk. Also, my bed was next to the window and it was cracked and taped on it. It was really cold! The wifi worked okay. On the plus side, the guy at the front desk was very kind and knowledgeable. He clearly knew the places and tours around and helped us with room service. He also advices us not to walk around the area too late at night, as it was a...
