This is a lovely, secure and modern guest house in the residential Yanahuara District of Arequipa. It's a quiet location around a 15-minute walk from the centre of town (Plaza De Armas), and on reflection is a great location to stay, not least because Yanahuara itself is great.||||This is more of a guest house than a hotel, and one element that particularly stands out is the quality of the breakfast, which was the best I experienced in Peru. Not so much here the stale bread and cold cuts of meat so common with other places to stay, but rather fresh bread and avocado and other specialties ate directly in view of El Misti Volcano on the rooftop terrace!||||As well as the comfort of the rooms, another reason to stay here is delightful Sony who works here, and who speaks the best English in town and generally oversees reception. She is very accommodating and made everything very easy about the stay, including all the taxi transfers.||||This is a great place to stay - highly...
Read moreWe stayed there 3 nights. The room was clean and confortable. There is no heating in the room, but it was OK with the blankets, we were not cold. There is hot water in the shower and good wifi. The house itself is very pleasant, there is a courtyard with chairs and a small kitchen that you can use (we had a quiet dinner there after buying take-out in the city center). The breakfast was especially good, with home-made juice, eggs, fruits, bread, mate de coca or coffee. The staff was very attentive and helpful, they answered all of our requests. They also got up very early on our last day to cook us breakfast before we left for Colca Canyon at 6am. The b&b is not in the city center, but it is not a problem, there are grocery shops and restaurants nearby for dinner, the area feels safe and it is a short walk to the Plaza de Armas through scenic narrow...
