I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Tio Dario in Arequipa, Peru! If you're looking for classic dishes from the Arequipa region, this restaurant is a must-visit. The Pisco Sour was a delightful. The Ceviche, fresh and zesty. The Chupe de Camarones was another winner. It was hearty and comforting, with succulent shrimp and a rich, creamy broth that warmed my soul. The flavors were just spot on. The Adobo was a revelation. The tender chunks of pork were marinated to perfection, and the sauce had just the right amount of kick. And I can't forget to mention the fantastic service! The staff at Tio Dario were warm and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal to the fullest. Overall, Tio Dario is a gem for anyone seeking authentic Arequipa cuisine. The classics they serve are executed flawlessly, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to savor the true flavors of the region. You won't be disappointed!

Our experience at Tío Darío was excellent. We were seated in the terrace, under a nice shade, surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers. It wasn't busy at lunch time, which made it even more enjoyable. The food was yummy and among the best I had in Peru. I ordered an Arequipan speciality, the ROCOTO RELLENO TRADICIONAL. The blend of hot pepper and beef together was incredible. In terms of spiciness, I started to sweat a bit and I felt the heat in my mouth, but the effects were manageable. The delicious pastel de papa, served as a side dish, is a great pairing, as the creamy texture of potato and cheese helps with the heat. I also had a ceviche and two drinks which were incredible. I believe the price to be great for the experience that I had. I will definitely go again, next time I visit Arequipa.

This restaurant is more than beautiful. There are two beautiful terraces with a lovely garden - a wonderful atmosphere! They even grow their own herbs in the garden, which are then used fresh for the dishes. You can tell that the owners of the restaurant work with great attention to detail. Everything is perfectly coordinated and designed for a pleasant restaurant visit. The service is very friendly and attentive and the food they bring is more than good. Even as a vegetarian you will be well catered for here with a good selection of vegetarian dishes - I can particularly recommend "Soltero de Queso". I'll definitely keep this restaurant in mind for the next special occasion or when I want to go out for a romantic meal 🥰 I can recommend it with...
