We were staying in a 5 star in the center of Arequipa when my friend got very ill. He was admitted to the hospital for an extended stay. I moved to la Casona del Olivo to be closer to his hospital. The hotel is brand new, everything is maintained beautifully, the architecture is interesting with most rooms overlooking a central atrium. Great value. About one quarter of the price of the price of the 5 star, and comparable in many ways. Attentive, helpful staff. Abundant breakfast included.
