HONEST REVIEW: A must read. This whole entire hotel is a CATFISH. I was catfished into thinking that this is a PRIME quality hotel. I have had multiple issues with this hotel during my stay here. Prime Asia does not advertise this information in their website, but unlike true high class hotels such as Marriott or Shang-ri La— Prime Asia’s has a policy against bringing fast-food and home-cooked meals inside the hotel! Per their policy if they see evidence of outside food in your room, you are to be fined 3000PHP. I understand that this is to encourage the guest to purchase food from their restaurant but the hotel should not have to force people to either face a fine or not have an option other than buying their own restaurant food. Nonetheless—this policy SHOULD be posted in fine print on their website prior to people booking it.
Secondly, per Prime Asia’s policy, any ‘hard-to-remove stain’ on any towels and linens are subject to a fine of 500PHP or more—and ofc this is per hotels discretion.
With all the rules and regulations thrown at me to be signed during check in—I was expecting the hotel to truly be as pristine and high class—WRONG! When I first pulled up to this hotel, instead of being welcomed by the bell boys, my family and I were told to park away from the hotel and to not use ANY of the available parking spaces that any other paying customers are allowed to use just because we rode in a traditional Filipino Tricyle and Jeepney. As a PAYING customer of not only a single night—but an entire WEEK, I was beyond disgusted and disappointed by how the staff handled this situation.
Thirdly, the hotel’s wifi is slow and worked only 30 mins of each day—if you’re lucky. The rooms are NOT soundproof at all and around 1200 midnight every night you will hear a water leak from the ceiling accompanied by noisy drunk neighbors. The kitchen faucet was leaking—flooding my floor, and my shower head was nearly falling off of the roof. Both of this combined is extremely hazardous.
Lastly, I opted to have a 1 hour service massage in their upper Spa section. Not only was my service cut short for what I paid for (down to only 40 mins)—but I was beyond perplexed and extremely disappointed by the colorist comments made by the therapist.
Overall, my family and I did not enjoy our times here at Prime Asia Hotel. From a family who stayed there for several days and booked multiple rooms, we do not recommend this hotel at the very least. Save ya money, book somewhere else, and eat ya Jollibee there too cause atleast they won’t...
Read moreReally nice place. We got the presidential suite on a very sweet deal at 5000PHP a night and it's typically over 20000. A very large space with a living room area that has sliding doors to enclose it fully into its own room with bathroom. Dining area, kitchen, balcony and large master bedroom.
The master bedroom bath room is large with a jetted Jacuzzi and a very ample shower with glass all around for a view but with a curtain inside for privacy. Enclosed toilet, double sinks, make up table and closets.
Lobby is nice and clean with a 24hr coffee shop that serves excellent coffee!
This place looks like it used to be probably one of the finest in the area but now it's run down a little. Here are the things that were disappointing and the rain for only 3 stars.
Parking. You have to park in front and there are not that many spots, wonder what they do when they're fully booked? We had to leave the keys to the car at the front desk because cars end up blocking each other.
We got the presidential suite which is at the top floor where the pool is. It is the first door in the hallway as you come out of the elevator. However, since the kitchen is right there, they're using the hallway as storage for a bunch of stuff. So you basically feel like you're going into a back utility hallway and all that at is being stored right inside of the door. That's what you come out to when coming out of the unit.
The bed is a standard king, unlike at ABC where they have custom larger beds, the bed here felt small. The shower has a 24" rainfall shower head but it seems they don't know how to maintain it. When we turned it on, the water just came out of the edges and not the center. I wiped all of the little rubber tips and then it worked but they weren't pointing straight down. It's ready to clean, don't see why they don't.
We were given literally 2 body towels and 2 hand towels. The lady said because the check in was for two, but really? So she asked for more and she told my wife who is Filipina, that there was a charge for each additional towels. Then I called back and they didn't mention an extra charge and sent us 4 more towels.
Aside from that, the people at the bar and pool area are awesome, very friendly and prompt service, the pool is awesome, the view is amazing.
I definitely recommend this place and I would urge the business owners to invest a little into the business to make this a 5 star place.
We plan to come back and check out one of the other...
Read moreFirst off, I am rating their staff a solid 5/5.
This review is for the facility itself and management.
I am writing this review on Google because Agoda won't post my review for some magical reason, they won't even confirm if it's against policy to write a negative review or not. Would you like to guess why?
In any case, basically what I said was Prime Asia Hotel is NOT a 4-star hotel.
I've been to countless hotels and even 2-star hotels provide better facilities and toiletries. This hotel does not provide you with facial tissues, the bristles of the toothbrush they provide are hard and they fall off easily, and they also don't provide guests with a disposable shaving kit. Which hotel doesn't do that? It's my first time with Prime Asia Hotel, a ""4-star"" hotel.
I booked for 6 nights and decided on this place because I saw that I can have a desk and work chair, but when I arrived there's no swivel chair, so I asked and they provided me with a flimsy dining chair. The photo on their listings showed a really good chair, though.
Their facility is kind of worn down (there's a hole on my ceiling, the ventilation in my bathroom was loud, the bathroom's doorknob is broken, the card slot for the power isn't functioning. The elevator scared me, it is clunky and loud as well.
Also, you cannot bring outside food and drinks. Which hotel has that policy? In all of my travels, this is another first. The food in their restaurant and cafe are just alright - I guess they want to force guests to buy from their own.
That aside, the place is also loud as heck. I was on the 4th floor but I could clearly hear the cars and people below. People on the streets are shouting even at night, even past midnight. People playing music loudly. Even inside the hotel itself is loud on some nights, people getting too passionate about their evening I guess.
You'd have to be very tired or drunk to fall asleep if you are a light sleeper.
I guess they call themselves a 4-star hotel because they have a rooftop swimming pool and bar. But they lack in the most basic of needs when it comes to hotels: comfort.
I ended up buying the things I need because they don't provide them at all. Again, which 4-star hotel does that? I've been to many 4 and 5-star hotels and Prime Asia Hotel won't even qualify as a 3-star hotel. Did they just arbitrarily say they are 4-stars?
Anyway, not recommended unless you're in Angeles...
