SM Hypermarket - SM City Clark — Local services in Angeles

I had one of the worst checkout experiences here. I arrived an hour before closing, spent just 20 minutes shopping, but still ended up checking out well after closing time—why? An hour and a half with 6 people ahead of me! The cashiers were unbelievably slow, seemingly dragging their feet to avoid handling more customers. If you want to go home early, do your job/tasks properly and effectively.

Even with the store already closed, lights dimmed, and long lines left, they didn’t bother speeding up the process. It felt like they just didn’t care. Either the staff is lazy, exhausted, or simply hate their jobs. Instead of working efficiently, there were three baggers per counter just distracting each other rather than getting the job done. Why do you even need that many if they’re not actually helping?

To make things worse, the paper bag they gave me was already tearing apart, and when I asked for an extra one, they refused, saying there was a "limit." Seriously? I ended up just taking another bag from an unused counter because I wasn’t about to walk out with my items falling apart.

This place needs a serious update with their staff and if that's not possible, they need to get rid of some checkout counters and replace them with self-checkout. Customers who have 12 or less items should use so they dont waste their time staring angrily at the cashier. Completely unacceptable. Do better, SM...

What a joke this store is. The lines here are terrible. Expect to wait at least 20 minutes, up to 45 minutes, not exaggerating at all. Also don’t buy any dairy as no doubt it has gone off when you open it. 497 pesos for yoghurt that was curdled. More than once this has happened with yoghurt and milk. They usually turn the fridges off at night, you can tell by the small puddles of condensation on top of the dairy products of the puffy, soggy cream containers. The prices on the shelf don’t match the check out price if they have a price there and at the check out is always to your disadvantage and good luck trying to check prices yourself as usually the price check scanner doesn’t work. It only gets two stars as they have a big selection of imported goods. A very poor shopping experience as the customer is treated with contempt even when asking for a box at the checkout and forget asking why the price at the scanner is higher than the shelf price, like talking to a wall. It seems the customer here is an inconvenience and I avoid this grocery store and only go there to get a few imported things I can’t get anywhere else.
