Formerly known as The Manner Condotel, the OYO 123 Condotel is located at the end of Narisco Avenue next to the Prime Asia Hotel. I was a guest at the OYO for two weeks in March of 2019 and found it provided good value for the money. I had one of the deluxe rooms, the bedroom and bath on a loft above the living area. The down stairs had a kitchenette, a bathroom, dining table, and TV with an oversized chair. All rooms have cable and WiFi. ||||The owners are making an effort to keep the building in good repair. On the day I arrived the big chair next to the TV was replaced. During my stay two rooms on the second floor were being painted. Everything in the room (shower, aircon, stove, WiFi, etc.) was clean and in working order. ||||All the staff spoke English to some degree; this has been a minor issue at some of the other budget hotels I've been at. ||||The OYO benefits greatly from its location. Narisco Avenue offers a gas station, an ATM machine, Saris Sari stores, a 7-11 store, and laundromats. Your can walk to the SM Mall, the town’s main Jeepney (think bus) terminal, a 24 hr Supermarket, and restaurants. Your also a short hop from the Nepo Mall and Apu Church’s Friday flea market. ||||Now the bad news. The wifi is good for regular use but if your planning an all night gaming session your probably going to be disapointed. The second floor rooms are accessible by stairs only. Off street parking is limited and its first come, first served. My room did not have a safe but I did notice two room safes in the manager's office whilst checking out. ||||Lastly, a new hotel is going up next to the Oyo. Until its finished a certain amount of dust and noise are unavoidable. ||||The Oyo 123 Elyseah offers a good value for the money. The owners are making an effort to keep it that way. For a budget hotel you really can’t...
Read moreThis is my goto Hotel now. I like to hop around and check out different hotels but this is one of the few hotels with the following. 1. Kitchen 2. Pool 3. Loft option rooms.
Downsides to the hotel are there is no housekeeping on Sundays. They charge you for toilet paper after 2 complimentary rolls, which seens absolutely insane but seeing as the price is so low it isnt a deal breaker. Plus the toilet paper rolls are 10 pesos which is equal to 20 cents per roll. The location can take a little getting used to because it is on the far end of the street. However you have access to the SM mall at the top of the street as well as jeepney stations for Hensonville and Friendship. The fares are 8 pesos.
I honestly would give this place 3.5 stars but that is not an option. I am giving it 4 stars just because I like the staff and I like the things the hotel has to offer. I can honestly understand a 3 star rating or 2 star rating though depending on the individual and their needs.
My advice would be to try it first or take a visit before committing to a long stay. There are plenty of hotels in the area that may be more appealing to your personal needs. This place however works for me because of the pool, kitchen and price.
You can pay twice as much for Winds Boutique hotel and have the pool and kitchen, plus closer location to the nightlife. This is also a good option and probably more appealing to many travelers visiting through town.
Elyseah Condotel is definitely a budget friendly option with a lot to offer.
The hotel staff is pretty good and always does its...
Read moreI stayed 6 weeks. Naturally they wanted all of the money up front. Like Hotel California, you can never leave. Get used to " I am just the secretary" every time that you have you have a complaint that is what Nina will tell you. Even though she sits in the managers office all day, she says she is just the secretary. The price is good and their is a reason why. There is high-rise hotel going up right outside the thin windows and the construction noise never stops. They are cheap as hell and won't replace anything, they will patch it up. They are too cheap for a pool cleaner, proper chemicals and testing and the pool is always dirty. You will find the staff doing their best to keep it clean but they don't have a clue what they are doing. The wifi goes off for days at a time, there are ants in the kitchen because the units need a good scrubbing. After sleeping in the $20 mattress, your back will ache - guaranteed! There are so many better places to stay especially for long term guests. I would avoid this place at all costs until the construction is done next door and...
