Really Disappointed Worst Experience We've Had at Patche's Thai!!!

We've been regular customers of Patche’s Thai for a long time because the food has always been amazing. But what happened kanina was just unacceptable.

I was dining with my friends, and sadly, one of your staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. We didn’t get her name, but after being confronted (calmly) by one of my friends about her attitude, she disappeared and never showed up again.

It was a busy day, so we sat at a rounded table good for 8 people. We were only 4, but we were possibly expecting others. The spot we sat in was very hot, so one of my friends suggested we move inside to a more comfortable space.

When we went inside, the staff suddenly shouted at us in front of many people: “ATE, DITO NA LANG KAYO KASI MALINIS NA DITO! NILINISAN KO NA!!” She said it with a sarcastic, angry tone. Everyone started looking at us, it was so embarrassing. We weren’t being demanding. We just wanted to eat comfortably. Hindi naman siguro kasalanan to request a better seat?

What’s worse, after that, she started kicking doors and looked obviously pissed off. Nakakabastos. Nakakatrauma. She could’ve handled the situation better, but instead she acted like we were a burden for simply wanting a decent seat.

We even asked to speak to the manager but they wouldn’t let us. Why?

We’re not asking to be treated like VIPs. Just basic respect. We understand napapagod ang staff, and we do respect that. But customers should never be treated that way.

Also, the food today was noticeably salty which we were willing to overlook but the way we were treated was just too much.

This is by far the worst experience we’ve ever had here, and we genuinely hope this reaches management. We’re not asking for discounts or freebies. We just don’t want other customers to experience what we did.

Sana next time, kung pagod na ang staff, they take a break instead of taking it out on customers. Sayang, we didn’t get her name. If we did, we’d be posting it here loud...

Rude server and our fresh lumpia had a WORM in it!!!

We love the food in Patches so much that we’ve dined here for several times already. But our experience last week was so bad we were really disappointed.

FIRST, a rude server asked condescendingly, “Alam niyo na po oorderin niyo?” when she knows we don’t have a menu. Since we already went here several times, we already know what to order but when we decided to add a dish, we had to ask her for the menu which she gave while sarcastically smirking. We let that off since it’s not a big deal—

BUT then they served our order of fresh spring roll and it has a worm in it! The worm is moving around the plate and good thing we noticed before taking a bite. We had to ask for a replacement for our two orders of fresh spring roll due to this. After a while, they only served back one plate of the spring roll right when we were about to finish eating. Again, no big deal. I mentioned to the server to cancel the other order of fresh spring roll so she nodded.

When we are about to pay, they added the other spring roll in our bill so we had to mention it to the counter but the rude server questioned us so much it feels like we were being interrogated. She didn’t believe us and even said, “Sana kinancel niyo na lahat ng order niyo.” Verbatim!!! She was so rude that she even muttered to her colleagues, “Tandaan niyo mga mukha nila.” When all we want is to remove one platter of spring roll from our bill which again THEY DID NOT SERVE.

This is such a bad experience considering we referred this place to other people as well and we were...

Okay. I really really really wanted to like this place. It’s a local favorite. So I went for dinner. The food, was NOT Thai. We ordered papaya salad, cucumber salad, basil stir fry, and pad see ew. The papaya and cucumber salad tasted okay, but it did not have Thai flavors. The sauce was watery. I did not taste any nam pla (fish sauce) but at least they got the tangy sweetness right. It was obviously not tam, looked like they just sliced it and then mixed it with a sauce and threw peanuts on top. Not like real som tam. The Thai basil stir fry tastes like soy sauce and oyster sauce only. There was probably like 2 strands of basil in it. And the beef was ground. It seemed more like a lap than anything. It was okay to eat flavor wise. But it was not Thai basil stir fry. Lastly, pad see ew. The flavor was like instant noodles. Like from an instant “pad see ew” pack. How could you get it wrong? It’s one of the most popular stir fry noodle dishes right next to pad Thai. I’ve read some reviews saying this place was authentic. Sure maybe the name Patche’s (Patcharawan) is Thai. But the food is not. If anything, it’s Thai inspired for the Filipino palette. But why not just make it actual Thai food rather than adjusting it for the palette of Filipinos when actual authentic Thai food on its own is good enough for most people to enjoy? There was a sign out that said it was for sale. Maybe it used to be good. I mean the place was packed on a Thursday night. It just is not Thai food. Sorry not sorry.

Not a good experience overall, we used to eat here before but it's no longer the same. The waitresses weren't welcoming especially if you're a local and not wearing something decent, we didn't because it is near our house. They do seem to discriminate customers as we've waited for almost an hour to get our orders while foreign customers already got their orders served even though we got there earlier than them. We've even got an incomplete order; It's a frustrating experience overall. The food was just okay it's not really worth the price compared to other restaurants around that area, their nom-yen is too sweet, the beef pad thai was okay but the beef is too tough, the singaporean chicken breast is so dry, i think their thai milk tea is the only good thing we had from them. The atmosphere is not great, very noisy environment and some parts of it weren't air conditioned. If you're a local just eat somewhere else, their thai food is not even that authentic anyways. Edit: So, we went here for the 3rd time (2pm, June 2025) of course we tried to dress nice even though it just near our home. They were polite and welcoming this time, The food is nice if you dine in and if you order a takeout expect a lower quantity.
