First off, the ambiance. It's definitely a photogenic place, and an all-around good place to eat to. Everywhere you look it's just really pleasing to the eyes, which is a plus.
But even with a good ambiance, you could tell the servers aren't trained well enough. They were interpreting our order wrong, one didn't know the dish they were serving, one broke an olive oil bottle while they served a dish, and the one who broke the bottle when asked to take a picture, wasn't really good with handling a phone camera. You know, this is basic service that a restaurant with that kind of ambiance should know. Probably the owner was saving in on money with those kinds of servers.
The food was okay, there were ups and downs. The pizzas were great, I loved the crunchy crust with the chewy middle. The eggplant pasta was also good albeit being a bit too spicy. The pumpkin soup was okay. The lamb shoulders though, I don't even know why they would ask for the doneness when it wasn't possible with the lamb shoulder. It was a bit bland, salt and pepper helped it out a bit but it definitely didn't save the dish. It got cold after a few minutes, probably caused by a cold plate (Usually dishes are served in warm plates to keep them hot, on cold dishes vice versa.)
Over all, I would recommend going to another place where you actually get what you pay for. If you only care for the "instagrammable" décor and not so much on the service and food, then no one is...
Read moreThis place is an instant favorite! Oh my god. I'm 63 kms away from this place but raring to come back, again, and again. We went to Angeles just for this place because it looked so good in the pictures, and we weren't dissapointed, the food is just..GOOD lemme tell ya. And It's not even that expensive! It's just quality food and priced just right. There were only two of us so we ordered just 3 items: Spaghetti meatballs, Pizza Margherita, and the US Angus steak which was simply the scrumptious thing -- all 3 of them, primo stuff. It's really one of those restaurants where you want to try out everything in the menu.
Great staff, polite AF. The place's got a vintage vibe to it which I like. Decent parking space, it can accomodate 5 cars I guess. That kitchen that's always cooking in fire that you can see from the inside outside was really enticing, adds to the experience. And the white dude na naka pambahay which was the coolest thing, who I think was the owner, always walking around, smiling, greeting guests, I love it! 😂 There are just restaurants you're glad that it exists, this is...
Read moreBy far the best steak I've had anywhere in the Philippines.
Until now, Texas Roadhouse had been it, but this is a far gap ahead.
I typically have to ask not to put any sauces or stuff since most places don't sell you steak, they sell you meat and sauce for flavor. I forgot to ask here but was pleasantly surprised that they cooked it as I asked, rare, with nothing but butter and salt.
3000PHP for 1000g, served in two pieces. Price is truly not bad but the quality is just excellent.
The staff, unlike Texas Roadhouse, is great and the place is nice. Not necessarily a "romantic" place since it's open but definitely nice for a dinner with the wifey.
Definitely stressing in my list of places to revisit.
Thank you to Bellissima for bringing and serving real steaks!
Also had the meatball sandwich, baby back ribs and fish and chips. Everything was so full rich in taste, not over saturated, the veggies hardly cooked as they should be, near raw but seared enough to make them soft.
Overall an A+ experience.
PS. I didn't take pictures this time but I definitely...
