We were here for one night and was initially impressed with the cleanliness. They also allowed us to check in prior to 12nn. They also provided us with instant coffee, cups and hot water is available outside. The wifi was working well, there was no cockroaches or mosquitoes and water pressure/hot water was good. Another friend told us he stayed here several times and was happy with he cleanliness.
Later that night, we were walking around the room barefoot and noticed that they only cleaned the area from the door to the bathroom. The floor in between the beds was so dusty it made our feet dark. We decided to wear our shoes inside.
We also had an issue on our Agoda booking because they did not receive an email from Agoda. We got refunded from Agoda but we did not get a price match on the rate (589 from Agoda versus 950 from the owner). I did not insist on getting the rate anyway, because it's still affordable.
I read that the lady was nice in the other reviews but she was just nice when we arrived. I left a 100 peso key deposit because I do not have the required 50 pesos. When we came back after dinner, we paid the room fee and I told her I will just get the change when we check out together with the key deposit. She told me I only gave her 50 pesos. We had a small discussion about it. She left to "check" and came back with my "change" but she didn't look friendly at all. I was even thinking of not getting the deposit and change back as a tip but the dishonesty left a bad impression on me.
Overall, it was still a good stay. Have you deposit ready and always pay with exact amount or insists on getting your change or an acknowledgment receipt. It's not about the money, its...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe arrived around 3 am on our last day there. The gate was closed. We were confused since there shouldnāt have been a curfew. It was a good thing there was a helpful guest at the garage that opened the gate for us. If he wasnt there it would have been a long cold night outside for us.||||Also my girlfriend got scolded because she knocked on a door that had an entrance sign and a buzzer on it. I mean it really looked like a room for reception but it turns out it is a guest room as well. ||||Also, that night we misplaced our key, so we hoped to ask the reception if they could open our room. We knocked on a door that had an āENTRANCEā sign and a buzzer on it. We of course assumed that it was the reception area. Turns out, it was also a guest room and we had disturbed the resting guests there. This couldāve been avoided if we had been briefed where the actual reception area was when we checked in, and if there was a stand by reception to receive guests who arrive on wee hours since there was no curfew posted.||||The location would be good if you have a car. If youre commuting, jeeps dont pass by the pension house. It's around a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest jeepney stops. This can get very tiresome if it's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTheir updated rate is now at 700php and is good for 2 people. If 3 people are staying, it's going to be 900php/night. (please see my attached photo for their house rules)
The room is equipped with a cable TV and an AC. There is also free WiFi in the vicinity and there will be free cup noodles and coffee for each guest staying. Hot and cold purified drinking water is accessible just outside the rooms too! What's good about this place is that the restroom is of reasonable size (unlike other pension houses wherein their restrooms are really small) AND hot/cold shower so you can really relax those tired muscles from your travel. The lady who accomodated us is very good too, she has given us tips on which jeepney to ride and good places to eat at during our visit plus there's an authentic Korean restaurantjust beside the building. š
Only thing that I see lacking is an extra socket where you can charge your gadgets. There's only one for the A/C and one for the tv and the cable box but everything is good!! Nothing a little effort can fix. š
Me and my travel buddy and partner will definitely be staying here on...
