I have to agree with Henry Tann's review. My wife and I just left there on April 25th after spending over three weeks there. The rooms do smell musty. The cleaning staff was doing the best they could with what they had to work with. The place looks outdated and there was no Air-conditioning in the hallways. I killed a large Cockroach in the bathroom. The ceiling dry wall panels in our room are seperating (rm 336). Literally every weekend there are loud functions/parties occurring causing you to lose sleep. We were in rm. 228 originally, which is almost directly above one of the event rooms. The sound kept us up all night from the loud music. Then guests would go back up to their rooms and make noise in the hallways. I called security twice for noise complaints. They were very friendly and helpful. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I called the front desk to complain and I asked to move to a higher floor. The receptionist told us no rooms were available. It was around midnight. My wife and I both went down to the desk to complain. My wife got upset with her and said we wanted our money back and all of a sudden we were in room 336. I took offense that I was told no rooms were available, when there clearly were available rooms. That person should not be working there! If you get a room facing the front of the hotel, prepare for sleepness nights due to street noise and then killing pigs across the street for Lechon early in the morning. (At least for us, you may be okay with that, we were not). The waiters were outstanding and we loved the food! Elmer was amazing, a true professional. All of the waiters were like that. They were like part of our family and it was sad when we left. The cleaning staff, maintenance crew and the security guards were all equally amazing. If I came back, it would only be because of all of them. The receptionists were a different story. Some were okay and others were not as good. We felt they could have been more friendly and I wish I remembered the name of the one who said no rooms were available when we tried to move. They are the first impression for the hotel. Training would be useful here. They also tried to tell me that their unsecured wifi was safe! I couldn't believe it. I used to work with computers and I couldn't believe they were saying wifi without a password was safe. I told one of them to stop saying it to the guest right after I told her she was wrong. They were still doing it. SMH. Eventually, they gave me a password to a secured network, which was very weak. I had to come down to the lobby to get reception. The only good thing about the hotel was the rooms were so cheap. I don't think we will be returning. I know my review was long, but I wanted to make sure you got got the big picture, so you can make your own...

Am not hard to please because I only book hotels with the thought of sleeping in them since we are normally out for a tour. What disappointed me was there was no toothbrush and toothpaste but there were combs! I asked the reception and I was informed that they were pulled out by the Management together with the slippers. Oh, okay. So they had me go to the nearest convenience store where I can buy my own toothpaste. Good thing I brought our own toothbrush. ||||Breakfast was also basic. Don't expect a grand hotel breakfast with variety. Be grateful that you have at least for 1 person. ||||Other cons:||||Hallways tend to be noisy since this hotel is used for wedding receptions. That makes me conclude that this is their main market and not people on vacation on tour. This also explains the lack of toothbrush and toothpaste and the presence of combs in the rooms. ||||No bidet in the CR, no hand towels.||||Pros:||||Good location, instagrammable hotel facade, they cleaned the rooms daily||||The hotel needs renovation to keep up with the competition. They also need to think of their secondary guests (not the wedding guests). People also book to stay and we need basic room amenities. Why don't you make slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste for non-wedding guests or at least sell these things inside the hotel if supplying them is...
Read moreI would really like to meet the DOTer who assigned 4 stars to this hotel. In reality it's 2 stars. Before arriving, I talked to them to make sure that 2 single beds can be combined to a king size bed. They confirmed. Upon arrival, nothing was arranged, when I called front desk they told me this was "upon request". I assured the lady that I had indeed requested in advance, and housekeeping came and fixed it. Next issue was drinking water, as in NO drinking water in the room. Again I called front desk, and they told me drinking water was "upon request". So I requested, and housekeeping soon brought a thermos of water of unverifyable origin. Remember, 4 stars, presumably. The next and biggest issue was the shower. During the entire stay there was NO WARM, let alone hot, water in the SHOWER. As we supposed a hot shower might also be on request, we talked to the front desk and requested. We were told that maintenance would "look into" our request; as you might guess we never heard back about the issue, nor was it ever resolved. Also, the TV is tiny, there is just 1 towel per person and the bathroom amenities consist of 1 sachet of shampoo and 1 tiny soap per person. No lotion, tooth brush, comb, slippers or bath robes. Not a problem, but definitely not 4 star-level. Lastly, when I booked our room, I asked for a quiet room. In the understanding of management this meant a room near the main road, facing a place that had drunk karaoke...
