THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE CAFE BELOW THE HOTEL. Curious Coffee Co. is a true five-star gem, offering a perfect blend of ambiance, exceptional coffee, and warm hospitality. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a cozy, inviting space that exudes charm and creativity. The decor is thoughtfully curated, with a mix of modern and rustic elements that create a relaxing atmosphere, making it the ideal spot for anything from a quiet study session to a lively conversation with friends. The coffee at Curious Coffee Co. is nothing short of spectacular. Every cup is brewed to perfection, showcasing rich, complex flavors that reflect a deep passion for the craft. Whether you're savoring a smooth latte, a bold espresso, or one of their unique specialty drinks, the quality is consistently high, with each sip offering a delightful balance of taste and aroma. Their menu also includes a variety of delicious pastries and light bites, all made with fresh, quality ingredients that perfectly complement their coffee offerings. What truly sets Curious Coffee Co. apart is the exceptional service. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly love what they do. They take the time to chat with customers, make personalized recommendations, and ensure that every visit feels special. Their genuine enthusiasm for coffee and commitment to great service shines through in every interaction, creating a warm, welcoming environment that makes you feel right at home. Overall, Curious Coffee Co. is more than just a coffee shop—it's a community hub where coffee lovers gather to enjoy great drinks, good company, and a relaxing atmosphere. With its outstanding coffee, inviting space, and top-notch service, it’s a place that leaves you eager to return, making it truly deserving of a five-star rating.

Overall, I liked this place, though there were some issues. On the downside, the shower was lukewarm and the air con heating didn't work. I mentioned both to staff 3 times but nothing was done. The air con wasn't a real problem as the weather was pleasant. The safe didn't work, but they replaced that promptly. A bit of a hassle though, as you have to use a combination AND a key. I was put in a room at the front of the hotel which as on a busy road, and this became particularly noisy from 6:30am with trucks and busses. I got a transfer to the back of the building which had pleasant views across a valley. Breakfast was included in the price, but you're limited to two items on the menu plus coffee. I asked for tea instead and was told it would be extra (as it turned out, they didn't charge me). The coffee was very average and the tea was much too strong. On my last night there I decided to eat in the restaurant. I ordered a meal and a beer - both were unavailable. So I ordered a lasagna and another beer. I woke up the next morning with the runs and a headache. Though I can't categorically say it was the lasagna, it's certainly likely. On the plus side, the staff were attentive, the location is perfect - one minute's walk from Session Rd - the main entertainment strip. The hotel has a funky minimalist design. No mini-bar, fridge, not even tea or coffee facilities. I recommend the choco pinipig shake in the lobby cafe after a day's exploring.

recently stayed at G1 Lodge Design Hotel in Baguio, and overall, I had a great experience. Here’s a breakdown of my stay from a guest’s perspective: Location – 5/5 The best thing about G1 Lodge is its prime location—right along Session Road and just a short walk from SM Baguio, Baguio Cathedral, and local restaurants. If you want easy access to everything, this is a perfect spot! Design & Atmosphere – 5/5 The hotel has a modern, stylish, and Instagram-worthy aesthetic. The interior feels cozy yet trendy, with wood accents and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. It definitely gives off a boutique hotel vibe that sets it apart from other accommodations in the area. Rooms – 4/5 I stayed in a Deluxe Room, and while it was clean and comfortable, it was a bit smaller than expected. The bed was cozy, and the large windows offered a nice city view. The air conditioning, smart TV with Netflix, and strong Wi-Fi were great bonuses. However. the hot water was inconsistent, which was a bit frustrating in Baguio’s cold weather. Final Verdict: G1 Lodge Design Hotel is a fantastic choice if you’re after modern comfort in a prime location. The stylish design, friendly staff, and easy access to Baguio’s top spots make it worth the stay. Would I stay here again? Yes, definitely—especially for the location and ambiance!

We stayed at G1 lodge for 3 days and 1 night.

Staff – The staff were nice and very friendly throughout our stay, especially the front desk. They were always accommodating and pleasant to talk to. Staff were just overall amazing. Kudos to everyone for being so kind and amazing!

Location – The location is ideal—just a few steps away from SM Baguio, making it extremely convenient for shopping and dining.

Rooms – We booked a Deluxe Room (mountain view) via Agoda. The room was a bit tight but still offered enough space to move around comfortably. I especially appreciated the small balcony, which added a nice touch to the experience. The room including the bathroom were all very clean as well.

Transportation – Taxis regularly pass by the hotel, and it’s conveniently close to the Victory Liner bus terminal (about 5–10 minutes by taxi). However, the hotel signage isn’t lit at night, so it’s easy to miss if you’re arriving in the evening. I recommend checking Google Maps in advance, especially if it's your first time visiting as some taxis are also not familiar with this hotel just yet.

Areas for Improvement:

Wi-Fi – The Wi-Fi was slow—my mobile data was noticeably faster and more reliable. Upon check-in, reception provided a Wi-Fi stub with login details, but the connection speed and stability can definitely be improved.

Bed – While I appreciated the accessible plugs and switches beside the bed, there wasn’t any surface or side table to place items on. The bed was pushed up against the wall on one side, which made it feel cramped. It may be too small for two adults and two kids—three of us already felt tight. Also, the mattress and pillows were uncomfortable for me, though I prefer firm beds due to a spinal condition, which affected my sleep.

Mini Fridge/Cooler – Each room came with a mini fridge or cooler, but unfortunately, it didn’t serve its purpose well. This type of cooler is what I usually use to store some skin care items at home. After leaving a drink inside for 24 hours, it didn't really get cold - only a slight step above room temperature. This was a bit disappointing, especially since I prefer drinking cold or iced water. I hope management considers replacing the current units with proper mini refrigerators, as the existing ones don’t really add value to the room.

That said, I truly appreciated the staff’s effort in providing some ice upon request. Thankfully, we had tumblers with us, so the ice was much appreciated.

Bathroom – It would be great if they could add a wall basket or shelf at the shower area. For guests who bring their own toiletries, there’s no proper place to put them while taking a shower except the floor, which is inconvenient.

Keycards – We booked two rooms for five people but were only provided one keycard per room. This was a bit inconvenient, especially since the keycard is also used to activate the electricity in the room. If one person wants to go out and the other stays behind, it becomes a hassle because the hallway leading to the rooms also requires a keycard for access. While this setup is good for safety, it limits flexibility, given that Baguio is a tourist destination. It would be much more convenient if each room was given at least two keycards.

Overall – While our experience wasn’t quite five stars and there’s definitely room for improvement, the hotel’s location and staff are definite highlights. Would I book again? I’m not entirely sure, as it would depend on my travel needs and...

We took the bus to Baguio so we wanted to stay somewhere central, G1 Lodge was a good choice. It's very close to SM and Session Rd. Staff was friendly. The room was a little small but clean and cozy. Beds were comfy but we only had one pillow each, just FYI for people who require 2. Since we were 2 guets in the room, it would have been better if there had been 2 chairs instead of just 1. The room had a lot of outlets which was great though interestingly enough, there was no outlet close enough to the table to plug in the electric kettle. There was no bedside table but there was a spacious ledge where we could put things but a side table would have made the room look neater because so many wires (phone cord, fridge plug, etc) were visible. When we first got to the room, the aircon was quite warm and I think the battery in the remote was old so nothing happened when we tried to change the settings. But after fiddling around with the battery, we were able to get the remote to work and the aircon was nice and cool. Aircon was necessary since our window did not open up to the outside but rather to the staircase. However, at least if we looked out of our window, we could get a glimpse of the outside and we could tell if it was raining or not. The shower curtain smelled a bit funny (amoy kulob) on the first day because it got a bit damp but after we made sure to leave the exhaust fan on, this was no longer a problem. The bathroom had a good set of toiletries (bath gel, shampoo, toothbrushes & toothpaste, hand soap (slippers and laundry bags were also provided), perhaps a cup or a toothbrush holder to put the toothbrushes in would be a good addition. We had 2 big bath towels but perhaps it would be good to also provide 1 hand towel. There was no closet and that was ok because they provided hooks in the room. However, I would suggest adding hooks in the bathroom and more in the room. Our room was usually quiet except for when people in the lobby or restaurant got rowdy. It would be good if the staff could ask guests to quiet down if they get too noisy, even before the guests in the rooms complain. There were some issues with the internet but that was because of a province-wide issue, it would be good if they had a back-up internet provider. After that was fixed, we were able to connect to the internet but at least in our room, the connection was spotty at times so I decided to use my mobile data instead for work. Overall, it was a good stay and I would stay there again if I need to stay in Baguio's city center. Hope Management can take the feedback above into consideration. An additional suggestion: since the lobby is quite dark, please consider putting some lamps on the front desk or some overhead lights in that area so that it won't be hard to read the forms we...

DO NOT STAY HERE.

On our first morning when leaving the hotel around 11am we asked for them to clean the room and take the bag of clothes for the laundry. We were clear to check that we would have our clothes back in time for our 6am checkout the next morning. They said yes. We were grateful as we had no more clothes to wear. We then booked two in room massages for us both when we returned at 7PM.

Upon returning at 6pm our room was not cleaned and the laundry was not taken. I returned to the reception to ask for room service. I was very clear to check that we could still have laundry because of the delay. They said it would not be a problem and the clothes would be returned to our room by 11PM.

When 7PM arrived, our masseurs did not. I called to check. The receptionist said that we had apparently called early to cancel them - something I did not do. She outright blamed me instead of their totally disorganized system. We did not get our massages for another hour.

When returning at 11:30PM that night, very tired and ready for bed for our early check out, our clothes had STILL not been returned. We urgently needed to pack and get some sleep for the next day so I returned to the reception again. The receptionist knew nothing about it. They called their external laundry service to which they confirmed I would have to wait until midnight for the clothes. This was a total lie as I only received the clothes at 1:30AM. INFURIATING.

Now, when packing in the morning (no delayed as we seriously needed sleep) we found that items of clothes were missing. Most of them were not serious however one particular item was very expensive. When confronted with this, the hotel staff said ‘i am sorry there is nothing we could do about this’. There was no laundry itemization, no, receipt, no sincere apology or compensation.

We had to leave in a hurry to catch our trip out of town.

I rarely leave reviews on Google. This should show to some level how utterly disgusted I was with this useless level of service in what is meant to be one of the best hotels in town.

DO...
