INIHAWS — Restaurant in Baguio

Update : Tried their BBQ on stick today - tasteless without the sauces on the table. Mang Inasal's has more flavor and bigger portion. But, again, rice and soup quality at Inihaws is still much better. But that's about it. Service still attentive to refills. I have eaten here twice - first order was the liempo and then the chicken next.

A lot of reviews were stating that the service was horrible. However, my experience was quite the opposite - they were attentive, pleasing and polite. Then again, the ones serving others with bad reviews might not be the same staff.

I would say taste wise, the chicken and the liempo were just mid. Nothing special. You need a mixture of sauces on the table to add some oomph to the dish. I can't help but compare them to Mang Inasal since they serve the same food concept - but the meat isn't Inasal and just grilled u marinated and was just basted with some soy based sauce.

With regards to rice and soup quality, they are better than Mang Inasal's very watery and mushy rice and the soup isn't too overpowering. The place is also cleaner than any Mang Inasal store I've been to.

My rant is they don't have free drinking water. Maybe I'll go back to try the barbecue. But as for the chicken and liempo -...

I'm trying to review the Inihaw located on the lower level of the SM City Baguio Mall. Google is convinced this is the same place but I'm not convinced!

Food court resto serving a variety of grilled meats along with sides. I ordered the tilapia with a side of gulay. The menu sign said the side was included but they charged me extra for it after I reviewed my receipt.

Tilapia was small (not surprising) and between the bones and the scales left on the exterior, there wasn't much meat to speak of. Served with a side of rice and a vinegar sauce. The gulay (veggie side) was actually tastier and easier to eat.

Food is cooked to order so expect a 15-20 minute wait. The mall food court on the lower level is a packed place, providing seating for perhaps a dozen different small restos. You may well have to wait to find a spot to sit.

This wasn't a bad meal but I wouldn't recommend it for a first-timer. This seems like a place for folks already acquainted with and fans...

March 13,2020 friday, around 6pm ako at ang ka team ko from work. Napagkasunduan naman na i try ang inihaws gov pack since nasubukan na namin ang Legarda branch, Dahil sa sunod suNod na urgent meeting because of the NCOV-19 virus. Napagkasundo namin with all the staff from the hotel were we are working... Na kumain dahil sa Nakakapagod at nakakaguto nagtungo kami sa INIHAWS Gov. Pack branch... Mabilis namang nakuha ang order namin dahil 3 kami sa katabing table ng team namin n nauna na. After a few minutes... While waiting nag ask ako ng service water dahil nga sa nakakauhaw na at guton NAGULAT AKO!!!!! wala daw silang serbice water!????? Bigla akong nag react kung totoo ba? Totoo nga hindi sila nagseserve ng service water at wala din silang station for water. Since may free nsilang 1 ice tea per meal! In my expirience ngayon lang ako nakakita ng restaurant o kainan na walang serbixe water! Pano ito nangyari? No further explination from the staff or the management kung bakit di sila nag seserve ng water. 2nd one sabay kinuha ang order namin before kami naupo nung sinerve na ang pagkain kulang ng isa at mag wait pa daw ng 4 minutes???? 😩😩😩😩nadismaya nako lalo dahil gutom nako.. Sana sinabay sabay na ang deliver then kung di kopa pinallow up di pa sasabihin na pending ung order ko. My god. Sana nag aadvise ang mga staff for any changes or happened for the cause of delay... Since sorry marunong ako mag antay pero ung nag aantay ka sa wala kung di kopa pinallow up wala pa silang iseserve.!!!!!! Nakaka dissapointed talaga. Hindi ako maarte nasa hospitality industry din ako kaya ung service quality kahit papano alam ko ang standard... Kung bakit ko pinost at nag comment ako dito its because para sana mabago at ma adjust ng management ung mga ganitong issue... Water is important specially sa pag taong nauuhaw... And also this is a complimentary we all know na u need to upsel and upsize pero in a good maner sana na dapat naman para sa mga studyante at walk ins na sapat lang ang pera. Ito lang ang bukod tangung restaurant na walang servixe water kung offices nga nirerequired ng DOLE at DTI ng service water for all employee kayo paba?? Anyaways nakaka dismaya lang.....
