We recently visited this restaurant for the first time at Sm Baguio Branch, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the establishment was struggling to manage its customer flow. Despite arriving before another party, we were made to wait for more than an hour before being seated. To our disbelief, the waitress proceeded to seat the other group ahead of us, even though we had clearly been waiting longer. Once we were finally shown to our table, our hopes of a satisfying dining experience quickly dwindled. We sat for another 30 minutes without any sign of service. Our frustration grew as we continued to wait, and we found ourselves repeatedly asking for updates on our order. The waitress assigned to our table displayed a lack of enthusiasm and patience, making it apparent that she was not particularly interested in attending to our needs. It became increasingly evident that our presence was an inconvenience to her, rather than an opportunity to provide quality service. Our experience took an even worse turn when we received the bill. To our shock, we were charged for leftover fee which the only food left on our tables were balls inside the pots and 3 pcs tempura. Overall, this dining experience was nothing short of a...

This was actually my third time eating at Nabe, so I really didn’t expect to leave soaked and grossed out. While we were enjoying our food, water literally started dripping from the ceiling , and not just a few drops. My boyfriend got completely wet, especially his back, and my bag was soaked.

The worst part? The water didn’t even look clean. When I wiped my bag with tissue, it turned brown. I honestly don’t even want to know where that came from. CR water? Dirty pipes? Either way, it was disgusting and absolutely not what you expect when you dine in a restaurant let alone one inside a mall.

The staff offered to change our food, which was nice, but we were already full (hello, eat-all-you-can setup) so it didn’t help much. We were honestly too shy to complain further, but the whole thing was super uncomfortable and honestly unsanitary.

I used to enjoy coming here, but this experience really ruined it for me. Management seriously needs to check their ceiling and plumbing because the food might be hot, but getting splashed with mystery water...

When we ate here, it was initially good. Until we came back and in the middle of ordering their meat slicer wasn’t working anymore. So we just decided to be done.

We came back knowing that Nabe is good, we settled after how many minutes of waiting, our orders were taken, our soup was delivered, it has been 30mins or so, they asked if we “were informed about the meat”, and we said no information was mentioned. Then they said that their meat slicer isn’t working AGAIN. Nothing was brought to our table after waiting for so long, just to be told that their slicer wasn’t working. We just had to cancel eating and decide to eat some place else.

We’ve also left feedback about their service being so slow where they explained that they were really short-staffed. So we just brushed it off. But for food service, to have you wait at a buffet, I’m not pretty sure how or why they don’t have another meat slicer or back up after it already happened to...

We always enjoy dining here at Nabe.. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and comforting, especially on a rainy day. The hotpot selections are generous, and the variety of soup bases and dipping sauces makes every visit satisfying. It’s definitely one of our go-to spots for a filling and tasty meal. That said, the service could use some improvement. We often had to call the staff multiple times (sometimes up to three!) just to get a refill, and there were moments when our requests were forgotten altogether. It can get a bit frustrating, especially when you’re mid-meal and waiting for essentials like soup or meat. Still, the overall experience and food quality make it worth visiting. We just hope the service catches up to the level of the food soon!

The hotpot restaurant was recently opened at the time of this review so there may be some things pointed out that could be attributed to their learning curve. Food was good but totally killed by the lack of proper service, processes and stock inventories. The assorted balls, tonkatsu soup base and chicken thighs were out of stock. A bit disappointed as what is a hotpot without the meat and seafood balls. Even their chopsticks were out of stock. Asking for refills also took a long time. As in the photo, the soup already dried up and ran out even before we got the refill of the meat. I hope they get their service in check eventually because the food is indeed promising.
