Paladin Hotel is conveniently located near Burnham Park. It's accessible and surrounded by many restaurants. Room rates are affordable too, even in peak season. Staff are accommodating and polite.
With regards to my stay, I may have low standards, but I had no issues with the room's cleanliness. It's not as clean as those 5-star hotels with expensive rooms, but it's neat enough for me to feel comfortable. There's no bad smell or odors. I didn't find any little critters like cockroaches, not even ants. I also didn't get sick from the free breakfast they served, which is a very Filipino breakfast: fried rice, egg, chosen proteins like fish, chicken, hotdogs, sliced fruit, coffee, and water. If you're a foreigner planning to stay here, don't expect bread from the free breakfast. Overall, I enjoyed the free breakfast.
I didn't stay much in the room since I was mostly out to tour Baguio, so I was just at the hotel to sleep and shower. The shower gets hot so that's nice. Several things to note though, one, I was asked to pay 55 pesos service fee, aside from the fee I paid for my 3 days 2 nights stay, two, next to the hotel is a karaoke place, past 10pm, there were people singing their hearts out. It was a faint noise since my room was at the far end of the building. Despite that, the noise was audible enough for people with sensitive hearing to hear it. The room I stayed in wasn't sound proof, so I could also hear the sound of moving vehicles from outside. Sometimes I would also hear people talking, some hotel staff, and other guests. During the day, there's road construction. I personally didn't mind as I was still able to sleep like a baby, but that was probably because I was so tired from walking and hiking that I didn't have the energy to nitpick what was wrong with my room.
Also, this may be an oversight by their housekeeping, but upon checking my room, while there was 2 fresh, clean towels on the bed, there was a used towel hanging behind the door, the towel was still wet but already smelled a bit moldy. I guess they forgot to remove it when they set up the room. Hygiene kits and fresh towels were provided just to emphasize. The toilet bowl cover has marks of dried liquid like when you look at it from different light, they look splatters. I wish they were more thorough with their housekeeping and disinfecting the bathroom.
One more important thing, the hotel has no elevators. I personally didn't mind because I like climbing stairs and walking in general.
Overall, it was an ok stay, worth it, great value for the money. It's not something that you would go to if you're planning for a staycation. Paladin Hotel is best if you're just in Baguio to tour and hike or do any outdoor activities and you're just looking for a convenient place to sleep and shower, but not really stay in for long....
Read moreI had a good experience staying at Paladin Hotel in Baguio during our trip last December 2024. It’s a solid choice if you're looking for a place to stay for 1–2 nights. The location is one of its best features—just a short walk from Burnham Park, the Baguio Night Market, and several restaurants and tourist spots. It’s easy to get around from here, especially if you’re planning to explore the city on foot or via taxi.
The room we stayed in was clean and decent for the price, it's Econo Room good for 2pax. It’s not luxurious, but it had the basics we needed for a comfortable short stay. Breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus and saved us the hassle of finding a place to eat in the morning.
What I really appreciated the most was the hospitality. The staff were friendly, approachable, and very easy to talk to. Very hospitable. They were also responsive when we called the front desk and helped us with whatever we needed during our stay. Their customer service really made a difference.
The only downside is that the hotel does not have an elevator, so getting to the upper floors can be a challenge, especially for seniors, guests with mobility issues, or anyone carrying heavy luggage, in wheelchairs, or if you'll bring a stroller for your baby. This is something to keep in mind when booking.
Overall, I’d recommend Paladin Hotel for travelers looking for an affordable and conveniently located place for a short stay in Baguio. It's not fancy, but it's clean, friendly, and near everything you'd want to see.
Just be mindful of the stairs if accessibility is a concern. The hotel doesn't have...
Read morePaladin Hotel offers an excellent stay due to its location and exceptional customer service. Complimentary water and breakfast, including unlimited rice and coffee, were part of our 5-day, 4-night booking at the hotel.
Customer Service: The service is outstanding. Of all the hotels we've tried in Baguio, Paladin Hotel stands out with its warm and friendly staff. They consistently greet guests with a cheerful "Good Morning Mam" or "Hello Mam." Their willingness to assist guests, including providing local restaurant recommendations, is commendable. It's a reminder that locals often know the best places to dine. The room attendant's attention to detail during housekeeping left a lasting impression to us and the cheerful smile of their reception staffs.
Location: The hotel's prime location allowed us to save on taxi fares, as major attractions like Burnham Park, Good Taste Restaurant, Night Market, SM Baguio, and Session Road were within walking distance.
Facilities: While Paladin Hotel may not offer the most luxurious facilities, the rooms are equipped with essentials like a comfortable bed for two, air conditioning, a hot shower, and an electric kettle. The absence of an elevator is compensated by motivational quotes along the stairs, which offer encouragement during the climb. Moreover, the provision of free water was a cost-saving convenience, eliminating the need to purchase bottled water.
Overall, our experience at Paladin Hotel was enjoyable. We look forward to returning for our next...
