The ambiance and location of the store is good. The owner (I think he was the owner) was hospitable and attended to the customers well BUT it's the staff (not the ones inside the kitchen) who were very discourteous. One instance was when they said they have Pork Sisig and then they served Beef Sisig, so we contested and then they retorted that they don't have Pork Sisig available (even though they didn't inform us that it's unavailable when we ordered). When we questioned it (though we still accepted it in the end because it's becoming a hassle and we're hangry - yep, that's both hungry and angry, lol), she rolled her eyes and kind of babbled with no sound - it was very annoying and disrespectful. Their menu have outdated prices (beware of these, something that costs 109 actually costs 119 when bill came) and when we told them this, they just said that some of the prices in the menu was wrong - which means that they're aware but didn't do anything to fix it. Again, the mishaps happened with the dining staff, the kitchen staff were all smiles and the owner was all accommodating. Giving it one star for the worse experience in Bantayan. To the owner, I suggest you check your dining staffs' behaviour randomly and you'll definitely find something you won't like. To the visitors, you may want to avoid this if you don't want have a bad food experience in Sta. Fe Bantayan. Went there last week of...
Read moreOverpriced with little servings. I ordered a beef tapa worth 160 pesos. I received a sizzling plate with 5-6 little pieces of beef tapa, one rice and one egg. I called the waitress and asked her if that was already worth the 160 pesos that I paid..she answered yes and said that they're only serving 75g. I was disappointed when I heard that because she didn't do anything about my concern. Another group from the table adjacent to us looked surprised as well with the little serving of food that they received. Even the juice that they served was meh. It's clearly not a good first experience in Bantayan. Look for another restaurant inside MJ Place and don't bother buying from...
Read moreWe arrived around 9am at MJ square and we were looking around for food to eat but the person from this stall was very pushy. i assume she is the chef/owner bc she kept saying that 'her food is the best & if its not, then its free'. It was not our first option, so we kept looking around however not many stalls are open yet. We went out and she was still saying it pretty loudly. We were tired from our commute and just want to eat so we gave it a chance. Ordered a variety of sizzling breakfast plates for all 4 of us.
