POPS CDO Buffet Cagayan de Oro — Restaurant in Cagayan de Oro

I arrived 5pm on a Saturday when the place was not yet packed. The food presentation is good. Preparation seems hygienic. There were quite a few menus on the buffet.

That day they had shells in coconut milk, fried chicken, pansit guisado, corn soup, sinugbang baboy, veg kare-kare to name a few. Desset was leche flan and gulaman balls in milk. Coupled with iced tea drinks.

I am not aware if they use this menu all the time. But it is a possibility. I have eaten here only once. Comparing this with the buffet from the Hungry Plate, I must say that this is way much better. Since the refills come faster and people are able to fetch their food quicker. It is the service that makes the difference.

Also the price is much more competitive than their next door neighbor. At 199, this is a steal for a meal, plus the seating arrangement is more spacious and comfortable due to its 2nd floor dining.

I will definitely be back to bring friends to a small gathering at...

During my visit i paid 399 pesos. Yes its not expensive but there are only quite a few food choices. Its good that the restaurant allows peek of their food choices first before availing. As a pescatarian, who finds it hard to find food during my visit in cdo, i still pushed through with this restaurant.

I loved that they have fruits, carbonara, and other food choices that i liked.

Its just quite sad to see that Buffet is supposed to be good in quantity of choices as it is what its designed to, because i wont expect a buffet to be delicious and of quality.

But this one, i don’t think it has a value...

The food lacked taste. When i got there around 8 pm, the buffet table was sparce. I should have checked first before paying the cashier. Anyway, first thing i asked was do they make refills? Because the only food that was available was a bland tasting chicken wings and adobong pusit in black ink (small sizes). They said yes but it took me 4 follow up and at about 9 pm they refilled the bangus (tasted bland) and the fried pork chop (bland). I think they are doing this so that you will order from their menu.
