So far I had a great time. The place is cozy. There is an available lounge where you can mingle with others. The price is cheap. I paid 400 pesos (shared room good for 10) with free breakfast. The staff are very friendly. It has a great location. Very accesible and it's near Ayala Center Cebu. If you are on a budget and is looking for a cheap place to stay in the Queen City of the South, Le Village is highly revommended.

Near the heart of the city, affordable rates (it's a hostel), no need to go far to eat or drink as there's a bar there. If you wanna go for cheap, local food, there's a lot of excellent "carenderia" restaurants outside. Perfect for the budget backpacker.

The great location. Good service. The bathrooms are clean enough.

AVOID PRIVATE ROOMS AT ALL COSTS||||I've stayed in lots of hostels all around the globe and this was by far the worst one I've ever come across.||||We stayed in one of the double bedrooms - it only has a fan, and it DOESN'T HAVE A GLASS WINDOW - it's just some very old wooden shutters that are both unsafe in so much as anyone or thing could come through it and totally useless for keeping out noise, the sun, rodents. The banging about from the kitchen next door kept me up till 1am and then woke me up again at 6.30am. ||||The security of the place was appalling, there was literally no door where the outside meets the corridor to the dorms and bedrooms - anyone could have walked in - and probably why there's lots of reviews on here saying money was stolen. The bedroom door could have easily been kicked in. All in all I felt very unsafe.||||Aside from that it was also pretty dirty. I found a blond hair on the sheets - so can only assume they weren't washed. The floor had not been swept and there were marks from where water had poured through the ceiling onto the tiled floor. Part of the ceiling had fallen down and had hurriedly been boarded back up. ||||The wifi is also terrible, only works in the lounge area. ||||One upside - the BBQ next door does pretty decent food - albeit they didn't bring our bacon and then when we asked where it was the guy came to look at our plates and then insisted that my boyfriend must have...

From my experience I would advise anyone thinking of staying here to find somewhere else! I found the staff obnoxious and rude, I felt like I was an unwanted guest in their home. The toilets and showers were filthy and there was never any toilet roll...which I found amusing when there was always staff there but they never seemed to be doing anything, except singing dreadful loud karaoke.|The place was riddled with cockroaches, I know that the it is in Asia and I get that cockroaches are common, but this place didn't care, they were all over the kitchen and showers!!|The A/C was good but that's only if you have it in your room. Private Rooms only have fans and were unbearable in the heat, so unbearable you will get next to no sleep, and any sleep you would get is quickly interrupted by the construction going on outside your bedroom window!! |The lockers were there for show, 2 out of every 3 were practically useless.|I have been all across Asia and been in many hostels all over the globe and this is easily the worst I...

As soon as we checked into the room we were hit by the pungent smell of dirty socks. The rooms are really dark and claustrophobic. |None of the sockets worked. |The toilet is just indescribable - drops of urine and feces all around the seat and yellow/brownish drops in the sink too. |We went to the reception to ask for our money back as we wanted to leave the hostel but they didn’t want to give us a full nor partial refund. After a discussion, and after having to explain them the terms & conditions of their own hostel (!!!) I finally got some of the money back and we could book a room in a much better hostel for just two extra pounds. Avoid at all cost. Disgustingly dirty and rude staff...
