Basic room amenities available considering low price if booked via sites like Agoda. No fridge or electric water kettle in the rooms but you can ask for cups of hot water for free. Most rooms have no windows but clean. Bathrooms a little small but have instant hot showers. The shower heads need to be declogged (decalcified) as the water flow in our shower was minimal at best. Try dipping shower head in vinegar for 2 hours and rinse. Might improve water flow. Small lobby as well. Saving graces: a) walking distance to eating places (ie STK ta bai, larsian's, shamrock restaurant, la Fortuna bakery), hospital (Cebu Chong Hua, Cebu Doc, Velez) and the capitol building, b) accessible by jeep, grab, and cab. One block from Osmeña Blvd, c) near groceries, drugstores, and malls (Robinson's Fuente and Cybergate), and d) responsive customer service. Worth your money. 4 stars for no window and small bathroom.

Edit: Stayed there last Oct. 11-13 solo availed the 999 per night with 2 beds. Room was clean like our last visit shower heater was working well, aircon is good cold for my whole stay. Staff is still the same welcoming and friendly was able to check in early with a minimal charge since I arrived at 6am Overall experience was great super nice stuff, love the bed and pillows clean rooms and cr. Accessible and walking distance to Rob Fuente

I cannot recommend this hotel, First because of their greed, Second because of unfriendlyness of staff.

As a former hotel Manager I might see things a bit different. The prices for eth are + tax, + Service charge! This is not customer-oriented or -friendly. The icecream Is not 25/30 or 35 Pesos, but 38,50..!?- same the most expensive water...For shower gel, or a bathmat, a toothbrush 100, toothpaste extra.... for eth you need to pay extra. Yes, small amounts, (not in relation to the hotel price though and highly overpriced) but it shows the greed and stiffness. This is also reflected in the attitude of staff. We have been guest several times, due to its location and reasonable room-prices, but they really lost us, when finally due to a 2cm drop of cream on the towel (disperses at the first contact with water, while washing) they requested 600 Pesos extra!?!

When my partner, a small and very quiet, humble person, hat to wait in the lobby for 20 minutes before we were reunited, they treated her in a very rude and disgraceful manner. This is not acceptable! - and not excusable. It reflects the inner flaws of the staff/ receptionist and day Manager.

I never had seen any of the staff even with a slight smile, even when giving a tip!? - they are under huge pressure from the Management and not happy to work there. The food is definitely not the reason one should book this hotel! The Pizza is a catastrophe. Once we ordered scrambled eggs, and the cook made a small mistake and served plain eggs. She was harshly ordered to redo by the receptionist, and almost in tears and so relieved, when I said, it is fine for me, no big difference. The rooms are fairly clean, yes old..but location is good.

After 2 years I have stayed in about 30 hotels in town, mostly 3 and 4 star, some 5 stars in Mactan as well...There are great deals and values for money. Overall I cannot recommend Stella Hotel. Just the next parallel street to Osmenia Boulevard, about 150 meters away you will find various great alternatives, much better choices. The first one on the left with great service, all new and friendly, helpful staff!

I rather give good reviews, but the staff and managemnt of Hotel Stella do...

There are many things to say about this place. First of all and the most important is their careless rude staff. Day shift or night shift does not matter, staff are hopeless. The promised carpark never existed, the only 3 bays are always full and staff or hotel managers are using them. There is no carpark around and you have to go far to park and pay 100 pesos per night. Guards are not helpful at all. Rooms are very small. Air condition is situated just about half a meter from your head!!! Outside lights lit your room all night long and if you like a dark room to sleep then you can't. First day I ordered breakfast at the lobby. I asked if the cappocinno is a real one and not a 3 in 1 and they confirmed it. When I received my cappuccino it was a 3 in 1 and they charged me 105 pesos plus 10 percent. Altogether their terrible breakfast cost my 380 pesos which I could pay less in a cafe and get a great quality and service. Check in and check out is slow and each time just to get your keycard you need to waste a few minutes. Once I was standing for more than 10 minutes and when I said I am tired and teed to go to my room, the rude staff told me to wait. Managers should add more staff and obviously one is not enough. In occasions they were 3 or 4 but sitting in the lobby checking their facebook or their papers and no attention were paid to the hotel guest and their needs. Do not go there and do not waste you...

It was a worst experience starting from check in as took full payment which is ok and they also asked for extra 500 for security then i went to room there was very smell and very less space room and washroom very small can not close door comfortable after that i want to order some food but mostly things in the menu was not available and they gave me only 3 options from the menu then i ordered which was noodles and strawberry shake then i got noodles was prepackaged from outside and they just reheat that and later they didn't give any plate with food and only one spoon and fork when staying 2pax in the room , later in evening i asked for sleepers and i was surprised they don't have sleepers in the hotel and i went for dinner outside and later i aksed reheat my food then they charged 50peso for reheat the food and also 5peso service charge for reheat the food as no any 5 star hotel charge for reheat the food but hotel Stella charge only in the world and for breakfast in the continental breakfast they give only 3pcs of bread slice with butter and jam and one coffee and bathroom there were no toothpaste and toothbrush in the bathroom which was in menu as charge around 40peso which was like grocery shop and lots of things like this , if you really don't want spoil your trip so please don't go this...
