Don't let the 4+ star rating fool you. Unless you feel like spending two hours for a dinner and more than half of those 2 hours waiting without even water on your table. We went on a slow Sunday night and ordered the scallops, grilled squid, and the crispy kangkong (deep fried spinach). All relatively simple dishes in my opinion. Yet it took over ten minutes to get the attention of a server for a MENU. Over an hour waiting for food. You can notice this occurred throughout the entire restaurant as you can see surrounding tables around, confused as to where their food was.
Next to us, a large table of 6+ got their first round of scallops before they even had cutlery and plates on their tables (they arrived after us along with 2 other tables of 2 that arrived WAY after us). Nothing to eat with except their eyes as their scallops got colder and colder. As they wait, you see the useless owner (seen wearing a yellow striped shirt) just standing there doing absolutely nothing as one of his largest tables sat there looking at their food with nothing but their phones in their hands to eat their dinner.
You can tell servers have little to no morale to working for someone like that (which explains the moody and emotionless server we had). Take some initiative buddy. Only until I had to ask a follow up on our order for the THIRD time until magically everything came onto our table.
Food was mediocre at best. I advise everybody to not waste your valuable time and pesos at this joke of an establishment. Do NOT let the OUTDATED newspaper clippings that fill the interior fool you... They're from 2001. Clearly management has changed or they have simply given up. Deeply...

Tuna belly, which is my most anticipating dish, was half-side deeply charred. I asked the waiter if he ate this charred food, he said no. I told him if you don’t eat the burnt food why you serve this to your guests.
Hot and spicy shrimp. The shrimps had been cooked but the whole dish was not hot and not fresh when the waiter served it. I felt like I was eating the leftover from other customers. Very very very disappointed.
1 star is for Kinilaw. Otherwise, I gave minus star regarding food.
The service was also below Filipino standards. They urged me to place the food order and urged me to pay the bill when I was still eating. When I asked about the ingredients of dishes, the waiter showed a bit impatience and not knowing much.
I was thinking of trying different dishes but the above dishes really discouraged me to order more. The overall experience was bad.
I don’t know why this is the best restaurant in Cebu. Only tourist come here but not the local people’s favourite...
Read moreThis is our second time here because their food is good. But today is not our day. We have late lunch schedule at 2pm And hurry to go to STK, upon entering the door we immediately pointed out to the staff we want the tuna panga, staff said please be seated mam and staff will get your order.
Staff is quick to get our order tuna panga, monggo soup & rice. We waited and after 30mins we followed up our order, hence its not so many people that time our order should be already cooked.
Then we found out the waiter is not able to communicate with the griller regarding our order (tuna panga) so they just start to cook when we follow up. It is disappointing because at the time we are so hungry already. Plus when the tuna panga was served it is not hot, it looks yummy on picture but actually it taste less yummy.
Staff should communicate well. This is something that they have to address...
