I recently stayed at Pacific Pensionne Hotel in Cebu during a late-night layover, arriving around 2 in the morning due to our flight schedule. The proximity to the airport, just a 15-minute drive away, was a major convenience for us. Despite our late arrival, the reception was open, and a luggage boy was readily available – a positive start to our stay.
However, the initial excitement was dampened when we encountered an unwelcome surprise in our first room: a cockroach on the bed. The luggage boy tried to downplay the situation, but our concerns grew when we spotted another one on the floor. Swiftly, we requested a room change, and the staff accommodated us on a different floor. Unfortunately, our second room also had a surprise resident – a small cockroach on the ceiling. We took matters into our own hands and dealt with it, leaving us feeling a bit uneasy.
Despite the rocky start, we decided to stay, hoping the worst was behind us. Thankfully, we didn't encounter any more roaches during the rest of our stay. The rooms were basic, aligning with what one might expect for the price. The air conditioning, however, was both loud and not as cool as desired, affecting our overall comfort.
On a positive note, breakfast was included in the price and consisted of a simple Filipino-style meal with rice, two small sausages, a boiled egg, and 3-in-1 coffee. The location of the hotel is a significant plus, with a 7-Eleven right outside and Robinson's shopping mall just a 5-minute walk away. Additionally, its proximity to the airport, the South bus terminal and Ferry port made it convenient for our travel plans to Moalboal and Tagbilarn, Bohol.
In conclusion, Pacific Pensionne Hotel offers a mixed experience. While the location and some amenities are commendable, the presence of cockroaches was a significant drawback. If the hotel addresses this issue promptly, I would consider recommending it. However, if the roach problem persists, I would suggest exploring other accommodation options...
Read moreI had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel where there was numerous problems. But first there were some great people but unfortunately a bad apple 🍎 spoiled it for me First there free breakfast consisted of hot dog plain rice and hard boiled egg none of which I cared for but did have the free coffee, so I supplied my own bread which the staff kindly let me toast and I had toast and jam made by Pan Manila which is very delicious and I actually shared with various guests and staff. But like the world there are bad people and the daytime reception person was that. She refused to call my friend because I have had my telephones stolen and this lovely lady named Joan helped me out but the receptionist said I had to pay for load and I told her that I have lost my 🆔 and phones so I had money and she said not her problem and TV was acting up and she said if I don't like it here just leave so another kind Filipino heard this and apologize for this person's rude behaviour but damage was done so she helped me book my current hotel which is Cebu mini hotel which so far is five star ⭐ so as long as that woman works there I would never step foot in that pension hotel ever because of her disgusting behaviour.
My name is Barry Alexander and I from Canada living in the Philippines and have been treated badly by various public officials and so I am fighting back warning my fellow foreigners that this type of behaviour is disgusting and actions should and will be taken by me against the various agencies involved when I retrieve my money and lawsuits will be forthcoming and I would personally thank Fernando Ramos for letting me use his and restoring my faith that there are more good people than...

Secondly, extra bed in one of our rooms should have been free according to the agency but upon checking out we have to pay for it and they don’t want to communicate with the agency for which these people in the front desk should be the one doing it for us, very very poor customer service! Lastly, complimentary breakfast is not included for kids below 9 years old and needs to pay!!! Wow!!! Really thats kids we are talking about they should take care more for them!!! And we are trying to compensate the breakfast we didn’t get from the first day so the kids can be free and they are telling us NO since its complimentary and its not paid but for its for the kids and just trying to compensate what we didn’t get the first day! How can a hotel run like this without any CUSTOMER SERVICE at all!!! Such a poor...
