owned and operated by the one of the friendliest and warmest families you'd ever meet in town! this is a nice budget-friendly place for backpackers looking to secure a safe and clean place to stow your gear and get some shut-eye in between those island-hopping adventures.||||for a minimal fee, you can opt to buy your own ingredients from the local market and have them prepare the dish for you; and they do not disappoint.||||for those coming in groups, they have large rooms that can accommodate up to 8 people so you can share the expenses and spend more on your adventures.||||as this place is situated at the center of town, you do not miss out on souvenir hunting, bit of local marketing, and a most interesting night-life either at Coron Bistro which is just across the street from the compound, Seadive which is almost right next to it but with a different entrance path, and the Old House that is located across the market area.||||as you will have better access to the commute, you can be assured of being able to maximize your time for the trip instead of having to factor in time waiting or looking for transportation.||||it is not the most luxurious or picture-perfect place in town but for most backpackers, this is as good a place to lay your hat; so to speak. for my particular requirement, being a SCUBA diver, this is a great jump-off point to adventures. and also, they do have an outdoor freshwater pool which is a rarity in town and for this...

The main reason for 1 star is that even though I had booked a room for 3 nights and paid in full in advance they gave away the room when I didn't show up the first day (ferries were full and I couldn't get there, I even sent them an e-mail about it, saying that I will definitely be there the next day). After a while they gave us some kind of a room, no bathroom but they said there was one in the hall. That would have been fine but there was never any water to have a shower, go to the toilet or even brush our teeth. They promised we would get our actual room the next day if any were to be free. I ended up getting that but only after demanding it, nobody came to offer me that room. I understand it's a cheap pension and for that reason I didn't even expect much but the room I got for the first night was definitely not even worth what I paid for and I didn't get any money back either. The actual rooms are fine for that price but pretty sure you can find a much better place...

The budget fan rooms are cheap, but I would not consider them worth it. We had three people in a fan room (400 plus 100 for a mattress on the floor). The bathroom was a little dirty, but infested with cockroaches. My friends complained of bugs in the bed, and we saw spiders on occasion. The last straw was when a spider the size of my fist crept onto my face. I found the ordeal humorous, but my friends demanded another room. The staff was accomodating and located a vacant room for the night. We moved hotels the next morning.||The hotel itself has a lovely view of the ocean, plesant staff, and a nice restaurant. I looked at the mid to high ranged rooms, and they seemed clean and comfortable, although they have some plumbing problems.||I would not recommend this hotel for your backpackers and budget travelers.
