The hotel is very centrally located in the small town centre so everything is walking distance with a reasonable selection of restaurants to choose from.||The noise in and around the hotel was terrible as it was right on the main street. To be fair to the hotel they had provided earplugs in the room but they were basically useless. The sound of barking dogs, motorbikes and people running up and down the stairs and talking loudly meant that this ranked as the worst night's sleep I think I've ever had at a hotel. Even with a pillow over my head and the earplugs, it was really difficult to sleep. ||Breakfast wasn't up to much so we ended up going somewhere else on our second morning. Whilst they have a few drinks upstairs, the fridge didn't work so they offered ice for the beer!||The rooms were small but acceptable for a budget hotel like this. The bathroom was very small and in need of an upgrade. The shower was a trickle sometimes, so it was difficult to have a good wash.||Whilst I didn't want the sheets and towels changed as we were only staying for two nights, the staff never entered the room to straighten the bedsheets, clean the bathroom or empty the bins.||Other reviewers have commented on how helpful the staff were, but I think those staff must have been on holiday when I visited.||There are some steep stairs here so if you have problems climbing up, this hotel is not for you.||A lot of the pictures of the hotel show their roof deck and that was probably what swung it for us when booking here. However, it is nowhere near as nice a setting or view as the...
Read morePros: I love the location, it's in the center of the town so everything is walking distance including dining spots, bars, convenience stores, even pharmacies. We booked the deluxe double room via Agoda so we got a queen-sized bed, cold AC, and the CR has bidet, good water pressure and there is hot/cold shower. And yes, we love their coffee!
Cons: We got the room in 3rd floor and there's no elevator so you have to walk up the stairs after a long day of doing island tours. Our booking included breakfast but take note that it's only for plain pancakes. If you want to get the silog meals, you have to "upgrade" and add ₱100 each for the breakfast. We're Filipinos, we gotta have our rice 😩😂 No refrigerator in the room too so no cold drinks or water during the entire stay.
Service: I appreciate the staff going up just to notify us that our pick up for the island tours is downstairs waiting.
Overall, value for money. I appreciate the balcony view and the cleanliness of the place. The rooftop has an amazing view and it was the perfect view while having...
Read moreVery conveniently located in town-close to plenty of shops, restaurants, etc. My room was clean and they provided a few toiletries which was nice. I appreciated that they supplied earbuds since the aircon works extremely well but is pretty noisy. One of the reasons I gave it a lower score is because of the service. The lady who checked me in was not very welcoming and needed to make sure I paid for my transportation from the airport, which I did, using Get Your Guide. She was a bit insistent that she needed to check with her contact, which was quite awkward since I had the receipt and reservation on my phone. However, the housekeeper and Bea were very helpful and kind throughout my stay. Other than that, my room was clean, I enjoyed the tour package offered at the Islander Inn and everything worked out which made me quite happy. As a solo traveler I felt quite safe at this location with its 24...
