I had the best experience at Hidden Haven Coron! II'm 26, F, solo traveler. I stayed with them for 4 months and never had a single issue!
Starting with the accommodation, it has that island vibe, like living in a hut, but honestly it’s the most comfortable hut ever. The bed and pillows felt really luxurious, and the room design was super cozy. The AC worked really well too. I knew beforehand that the shower rooms were shared, but it was never a problem. They were always clean, felt safe, had heated water, and even came with shampoo and body wash provided. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea to have to go outside to get to the dining area and bathrooms, but that’s clearly mentioned in the hotel description. For me, the setup was totally fine. Plus, if it rained, the staff would hand out umbrellas, which I thought was really thoughtful.
In terms of location, it’s right in town, which made everything so much more convenient. Close to the hospital, and tricycle rides are very accessible.
The staff were amazing — super nice and accommodating. And when I say accommodating, I mean they honestly felt like family. They were so warm and friendly. If I casually mentioned, “Oh, I’d love to try this activity,” it would get booked instantly. I had zero problems arranging things with them, whether it was a private boat for my diving tours or my van transfers to and from the hotel. Even when I arrived and left, everything was perfectly organized. Saying goodbye was hard because I really got attached to them.
Overall, I had such a great stay at Hidden Haven. SUPER...
Read moreWe only stayed for one night in transit from coming off a 3 day boat expedition, before flying elsewhere the next day, and it was perfect for us. The ladies were so lovely and accommodating, and were able to assist us with transfers and any questions we had. We stayed in the four bed bunk room, the Aircon and fan was perfectly cold, the room is small but we had no issue fitting our luggage inside. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. We were provided with inside and outside shoes, and the bathroom facilities were clean and just what we needed after being on a boat/islands for the past three days - a most appreciated shower was had.
We enjoyed the scenery of the accomodation - a lovely garden and outdoor dining, felt like a perfect homestay. There are many cats owned at the property, all of which are very beautiful and sweet and are kept safe in their cages at night, and did not cause any disturbance with noise.
There is a large hostel next door which plays music, it is not disturbing when in the rooms and the music was turned off by 10 pm anyway. I find that if you've been travelling around the Philippines you become accustomed to noise from streets/roosters/dogs/neighbourhood karaoke (very sweet), so if you wanted somewhere dead quiet you are best to stay further from the towns. Overall we had a lovely time for our one night stay! Thank you again...
Read moreWhat happiness to have stayed here! I only stayed 4 nights, but it was a little piece of heaven that leaves us nostalgic. We have traveled around a lot in the Phillipines, and this is by far the best accommodation we have had! First of all, the place is extremely cute, we are here in a small haven of peace so much that in spite of our busy program, we wanted to stay here all day long: cosy cottage, hammocks, small kittens which gamboll in the grass. The common parts such as the toilets and the showers were also very clean and well arranged (an aspect that I could not always notice on the various islands, so it is important to underline it).
And the most positive point is above all the sweetness and kindness of Belen and Rachel, our hosts, who literally took care of us from the beginning to the end, making us feel at home. Filipinos are generally adorable, but Belen & Rachel were exceptional: we will have unforgettable memories of our stay here ! ...
