We stayed at Micasa because I picked the wrong flight date and we arrived in Coron 1 day earlier than the rest of my family.
When we arrived at the hotel I was disappointed with the facade of the building. I got the same feeling when I saw the reception area. There was no AC, it was small and could use some cleaning. On the right side of the reception is a coffee machine and beside it are chips and noodles for sale. The coffee is expensive at 10pesos for a really small cup.
The receptionist said we could leave our valuables with them because they have a safe at the back (or something) but when I glanced at what she's pointing at, the area looked like a mess.
The room looks ok and it looks clean although a close inspection will tell you that it's not. There were cobwebs on the ceiling of the cr and the floor has small stains of what looks like detergent or whatever cleaning agent they are using. The bed looks clean though.
The hallways are a bit dark and dirty for my taste.
They provide toiletries but you might want to buy your toothbrush outside. The bristles of the toothbrush is so hard you can use it to clean your toilet sink.
Breakfast is at their rooftop and the danggit is great including the view. For some reason it's super windy there that one of the placemat flew right smack on my boyfriends' face!! So funny!
Tricycles are available outside the hotel so going around town is a breeze.
Overall, it was ok but if I had a choice, I wouldn't stay there and will try to look for another hotel. I am a neat freak and I like well lighted spaces so Micasa doesn't really suit...

Internet: If wifi is important for you, this place is not the place for you. Wifi in Micasa lodge is only at the 3rd floor and even though we stayed at the 3rd floor, wifi was still horrible i could’nt even load google.
Customer service: Customer service was great though. They were very helpful with the information about the town and also they gave us complimentary iced teas when we checked in. They also helped us on the last day with our bidet which flooded the bathroom. You can get shampoos (no conditioner) and towels once a day free of charge. You can also rent paddle boards for 1,500PHP a day. Just make sure and coordinate with your pick up person so they can put your paddle board on the top of the van or else you’ll end up waiting for it to get to the port which what we had to do. You can also buy drinks and snacks at the hotel just tell them to charge the room. Shower was awesome! I was surprised that water temperature really stayed consistent and gets really hot. The only downside for our stay is the smell of the bathroom (smells like pee which i think is because of the rugs they don’t clean) and the loose screws of bidet holder and toilet paper holder which was really annoying.
BREAKFAST: Food was really delicious. You can choose from toast, rice, bread partnered with hotdog or bacon or ham or omelettes with fruit of your choice. They also have butter or jam for your toast. I love their tuna omelette and my husband like their potato omelette. Breakfast area is at the rooftop and the view from there is just amazing. (See pic...
Read moreMy stay at this hotel was an absolute nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my frustration and anger over the appalling conditions and service.
To start, the cleanliness was unacceptable—there were bloodstains on the bedsheets, which is simply revolting and completely inexcusable.
Security was another major issue. My room had a weak connecting door to the neighboring room that could easily be forced open, and the main door was just as flimsy. Worse still, when I tried to open it, the plastic door partially broke due to its poor quality. Instead of being offered an upgrade or even a similar room, I was downgraded to an even worse one.
Adding to this sense of insecurity, the hotel’s own rules and information advised against leaving valuables in the room. At check-in, I was required to sign a form acknowledging this advice, implying that theft has been a recurring problem. This lack of trust in their own facilities was deeply unsettling.
The air conditioning was old, noisy, and ineffective, providing no relief from the heat. Noise was a constant problem throughout my stay, with staff shouting to each other as early as 5–6 a.m., disrupting any chance of rest. I witnessed this firsthand when waking early for tours.
Finally, the hotel is grossly misrepresented online. The photos suggest a far nicer property than the reality.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a deeply disappointing and infuriating experience. Avoid it...
