Pretty decent B&B to stay in if ever you're in Dumaguete. Very good value plus they provide toiletries & towels. The room we stayed in was airconditioned, had TV, hot and cold shower and we paid less than P900 (site deal) for an overnight stay! The lobby was colorful and instagram-worthy. Gabby's was just a tricycle away from Siliman and the city center.
The only downside of our stay was our breakfast experience. Even though it was only toast and jam plus coffee, heck it was free so we were happy to get it. They start serving the complimentary breakfast at 6am, but you cannot buy full breakfast until 7am. (Side note: For a Bed & Breakfast place, that's a bit late). And by serving I mean turning on their kitchen equipment like heating up the toaster and starting the coffee maker, etc. In the end, the small meal we were expecting by 6am was served almost half an hour after. That would have been okay if we weren't rushing for a scheduled flight, and if we didn't inform them the night before that we would be availing the meal by 6am.
Nevertheless, breakfast schedule and serving time aside, I'd recommend this place for backpackers who are looking for an affordable place to stay in when...
Read moreI have been coming here for several years now and always for their superb chicken Inasal. I have tried one or two other dishes here, like their cooked breakfasts but for me this dish is THE standout meal on what is a comprehensive menu.|The chicken is infused with great flavours and comes served with two eggs (your style or preference) and garlic rice. It was served quickly and the food was delicious and piping hot. Fair value at 195 php including a drink, which was cucumber lemonade yesterday.|The one improvement they could make is the fact that the service staff always sit behind their counter and it is almost impossible to get eye contact with any of them, so you either have to A) wait some time for one of them to appear, in order to ask for the bill or B) Shout out "dai" or "dong" to get the attention of the staff (which isn't a cool thing to do, or C) walk up to the till and pay. I usually end up walking to the till and paying. This has always been the case for many years and it would be nice if they were more attentive.|They do have other branches which are worth trying too, with the Rovira road restaurant in Bantayan being very good.|I...

The falls were beautiful and the water was cool and inviting, making it ideal for a short swim. After exploring, we stopped by a nearby café and enjoyed some delicious drinks. The frappes were creamy and flavorful, and the ambiance was cozy—great for relaxing after the trip. We also indulged in some dessert (banana split!), which was the perfect sweet treat to end the day.The drive going there was smooth and scenic, especially as we passed through the lush trees and peaceful surroundings. Everything from the food to the facilities made the trip worth it. Highly recommended for a chill getaway with...
