Do not stay here unless you think you are the luckiest person in the world and will get an ok room. We had four horrible nights with Bill tourist inn. Day 1 1st night we got an “upgrade” on arrival to a bigger room since our original room is “being fixed”. Thus, the next morning, we had to wake up 1hr earlier (at 7am) to pack our stuff and drop them at the reception before our 8 hour day tour. (Room for day one has really low shower pressure btw) Day 2 After the tour, we got a new room and it smells like glue (chemical adhesive). The smell was unbearable. I went to repot this at the reception, but then they told me they are fully booked and it was not possible to offer another room. The reception originally told me that they were fully booked until December. But I asked for another room for the next two nights (whoever is checking out next day, I wanted to move to that room.) they agreed so the next morning we had to pack AGAIN, at 7am since we had another day tour. In the meantime, I asked for face masks. Then, we figure the adhesive smell is coming from the bathroom, so we closed the bathroom door and let the hotel room door open for two hours before going to bed (with masks on- yes very ridiculous). The adhesive smell is harmful to our health- totally unacceptable. Btw, the door would close automatically, we had to take turns sitting at the door.
Day 3 After we came back from the tour, we got our new room as promised. A night of good sleep finally.
Day4 Then, the next day, in the afternoon, water started to come out from the toilet out of nowhere. Thank god we were in the room or else our stuff would be damaged by the sewage water. We informed the staff immediately and they came to check on the issue. They could not fix the issue and the entire room smells like pee. Yes, pee. We had to sit at the reception while they were “trying” to solve the issue. We then went out for dinner, and came back later only to find out our room still smells like pee. At this point we were done with the hotel, and asked for compensation. They said they need to check with their managers, so we went out to wader in the town since our room smells worse than a public toilet. A while later, they called me to tell me they would like to offer us to move AGAIN to another hotel (their sister hotel down the street). We had to come back and check out the hotel they offered, and then PACK AGAIN to move. The room they offered was fine, only that the airco is so loud that we need to turn it off to sleep. It is 27 degrees outside…. And no windows in the room. I couldn’t fall asleep until 3 am, so I gave in and turn on the very loud airco and used a pillow to cover my ears. I got less than 3hr sleep ast night.
I really do not think this is acceptable at all. 4 rooms in four nights. And we paid 74 euros per room per night in a country where the cost of living is relatively low.
Bill tourist inn really need to close down and fix their issue structurally. Staff are friendly but not helpful since they only have bad rooms and...
Read moreThis hotel really could be of a high quality - the rooms are quite big, queen sized bed which is comfortable and the exterior looks nice and clean compared to the surrounding areas. These are really the only positives. ||I stayed here for 4 nights from 16-20th Jan. My experience was absolutely awful. There was a blood stain on the sheets about 3/4 of the way down the bed which was disgusting - replace the sheet!!! No one cleaned our room in the whole 4 days which to be honest doesn’t bother me as much, but we weren’t provided with replacement toilet rolls which meant we had to walk down to reception to get one then carry it back up to our rooms, past everyone eating their breakfast. We also didn’t get fresh towels AT ALL. We tried to make use of the one we had as much as possible to save on the laundry but by the third day we had to ask for new ones. We asked as we left the building to go on a day trip, and by the time we got back 8 hours later they hadn’t even been put in our room. ||We had free breakfast here but only ate it once - obviously expectations weren’t too high but it was awful. The food was edible but there were see through trays over all the food to keep flies out but all the flies were actually trapped inside!! Disgusting!||We were in room 2C which is right next to the stairs. I didn’t sleep past 6am at all due to the noise, it’s as if the walls are made of paper but I think this would be the same whichever room you were in as they are all facing the street. If you’re a light sleeper you will have great difficulty. Engines were revving from the early hours and then people walking up and down the stairs in flip flops was enough to wake me up every siingle time as it sounds SO loud on the wood floor. It would be much better if staff asked people to take their shoes off at the door as they do in most other places here. ||The aircon only really has two settings - off, or absolutely freezing. You either wake up boiling hot or shivering at various points during the night depending on whether you put it on before bed.||To top it off, we had no hot water for our entire stay. Staff were notified twice on day 1 and 2 and came up to fix it. They both left saying it was fixed but it wasn’t. We had to have cold showers for 4 days. This definitely isn’t a common problem in El Nido as everyone else we spoke to had boiling hot water in other hotels.||No WiFi in the rooms either, only in the hotel lobby - this is not a criticism as I know it happens most places but it’s something to bare in mind||Don’t be fooled by the nice pictures!!! This is completely overpriced and probably one of the most disappointing hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I actually cancelled a hotel to rebook this one at the last minute and paid about 1/3 extra,...
Read more(Dec 2024) I stayed in RM 302 for a few days, which was decent. There are no elevators. It's a great place for not being in there all day but it's not bad if you do need to stay there when you are recovering from food poisoning (from eating at a Korean restaurant). Our A/C worked well but it did drip water every so often so don't leave anything under it. There is just a small box to store food to prevent ants from accessing your food. There is a hanger rack (no closet) Wifi was spotty and we needed to change networks depending on if you were in the room/bathroom or the reception lobby - there were many network options so it wasn't that bad. BATHROOM: The toilet paper holder fell - but that wasn't a problem for us. The shower spray holder wouldn't hold the typical shower head up (it pointed down and the height couldn't be adjusted) so we could really only use the rainfall head since we didn't want to hold the shower head... When I showered, the water could be perfect temperature or switch from hot to cold. My partner didn't really get the switching experience. Since we went to beaches and got sandy, the shower drain did clog but it's easy to clear out. The breakfast buffet had limited choices but the dishes changed every so often. They have filtered water to refill your water bottle.
The staff was very professional and respectful. They were eager to assist as much as they can - like get us extra bathroom supplies, try to cook congee when I was ill (since the shop I went to only opened at night), or be ready to assist with our luggages. They have transportation pickup and drop off to and from the airport - just call ahead to RSVP.
The Inn offers the same boat tours as other tour companies. Their prices may seem expensive but their tours include towels and snorkel equipment on the boat. If you needed to rent those, then the Inn's tours is cheaper and you don't need to worry about bring it back to the person you rented your equipment!
Bill Tourist Inn has great location because it's quite close to town but not too central for it to be noisy in our room. It's basically less than 10 mins to the nearby beach where boat tours launch from. It's near a school which launched some fireworks for the holidays during the time I stayed - it was an amazing view from the...
