Giecel pension is run by a family who lives on the ground floor, by the reception - We stayed at rooms 7 and 8.||||The good: rooms as big, the bed is comfortable and the wifi worked relatively well in our room. The pension is well maintained and has a nice environment. Towels are changed and room is cleaned as per the guests request. Location is also very good, 5 minutes away from the main road by the beach with hotels and restaurants, so it's secluded enough that you don't hear much noises at night.||||The bad thing was mainly the toilet. The water pressure of the faucet and shower head is absolutely terrible. It was not easy to wash bathing suits, snorkel equipment and even washing your hair when the water only dripping from the shower. Our bathroom pipes were exposed, so hopefully they were working on renovating the water pressure. Another thing, our shower was a bit clogged during our stay.||||Overall we didn't have problems, but the family who keeps the pension were not so friendly. It was ok, but we didn't feel very welcome, as you normally do in most places in the...
Read moreThe worst hostel we have ever stayed in! The rooms are disgusting, we had cockroaches in the room! The sheets were dirty and hadn't been changed from the previous guests! There was sand everywhere in the room and the toilet stank the whole room with the smell of sewage. During the 4 days we were there, they didn't clean the room, they didn't change the trash cans, and they didn't bring us toilet paper!! (Even though we asked twice for the room to be cleaned). The owner of the place is a greedy and rude woman. We have never been treated so disrespectfully in a hotel. She tried to cheat us out of paying and wanted to steal money from us!! The place's wifi doesn't work either... There are much better and cheaper hotels down the street! Like Vencejos Inn...
Read moreGreat location , but very basic. We got 2 rooms. One had mould everywhere , the tv didn't work ( we paid extra for the tv) , no hot water and one day no water at all ( they had turned it off ) . We only saw the sign offering breakfast the day we left and no one mentioned it to us , my tv had no remote so couldn't control it. Overall it's a handy spot, beds are comfortable but it's basic and staff are nice but not really interactive. It's also extra if you have a guest , and front door closes at 10pm. The Internet is...
