We booked a Double room & stayed at Las Cabanas for 7 nights and it was really what we needed after a long lockdown. After 4 nights in our great room we were upgraded to a King room which was very much appreciated & also a nice gesture. The Host/Manager Geraldine is amazing & genuinely cares about her guests & her staff. The staff were really fabulous & nothing was any trouble & they went far & beyond what you would expect, especially Vicky & Bambi although all these were great. Drop offs are at the Vanilla beach shop area which apart from the Gym were closed due to Covid. It was a short walk to the resort & Geraldine asked our flight time in advance & had a couple of staff there waiting for us to carry our luggage & follow them along the beach which was about 5 - 7 minute walk to the resort.

Part of a review, not that I do many is to inform ppl stuff I guess. There is no running hot water which I’m sure to some might sound bad but to us not so much. on returning each night Vicky had always left two large containers of hot water at our door & we could freshen up & have a hot shower Filipino style so this to me was perfect, considering you are 20 metres from a beautiful beach. A cold shower wasn’t much for us either. If your looking for a rad 5 Star Resort this place is not for you. It was Exactly what we wanted!

On our first night after dinner around 8pm we were sitting at our table & to our & to resort staff delight a Turtle came out of the sea a few metres away & proceded to spend about 10 minutes digging right near our feet then laying over a hundred eggs it was truly breathtaking & amazing! We really just wanted to chill a bit on our holiday & this is what we did for our first few days, either by staying on our patio next to the ocean or wandering down the beach or to the bar for drinks & delightful food. With some great recommendations from Geraldine (who is extremely knowledgeable about the dining options, various great locations & of course the awesome boat hopping trips in El Nido as well as arranging motorbike rental, we then started to explore but with a relaxing feel. Very rarely do I eat at a hotel or resort I’m staying in but Las Cabanas was really great & this one we did at least 4 of our nights there because it was so good. Breakfast (part of room rate) every morning was also super!

All & all we visited around 6 or 7 other places around El Nido for great lunches & dinners, wine etc at places named The Nesting Table, Athena Cafe, Artcafe, the Beach Shack, Sunmai on Nacpan Beach & a few bars & a cool Ukrainian brewery etc which were all great.

Got back late-ish on our last night & was super lucky to be able to have a refreshment or 2 with a few staff as our way of saying thanks. We Will be back,...

Room: Garden View|Travelled with Family|4D3N||Accommodation: the room cozy and it has a homey feeling. Good ventilation as soon as the AC has been turned on for 30mins. The room and toilet/bath are spacious. Good space for your clothes and toiletries. There is also a hair dryer, good supply of water, and hot/warm water. ||Food: I read the reviews about them being pricey. I would say they are pricey because the serving is good for 3-4 people or 2 persons who have big appetite. Breakfast buffet is limited but it is enough for me. ||Amenities and Location: I love the pool, the hammocks, the gardens, and its location. It’s peaceful. You get 2 types of beaches here - Marimegmeg and Vanilla. The view is amazing. It is located near the zipline. It has a bar beside. Non-guests have been staying at the pool and in the restaurant. I do not mind it until I have no more space to rest. They have a live acoustic every night. The place is clean. Although the reviews say that it requires walking, I did not mind it as there are porters who will assist you. Just provide the number of guests, follow the hotel’s instructions upon booking, and they will provide enough porters to help you with your luggages. ||Customer service: they greet you all the time. They are accommodating.||For improvement: maybe offer a half-serving for the food for those who eat small serving. This is to lessen also the food waste. The leftovers will just be thrown away. For the owner as well to value peace and quiet of the guests. I would suggest to tone down the voice and not dominate the space of silence; we do not want to hear your conversation with other people. ||Tips: buy water outside, bring cotton swabs and hair cap. You can enjoy their pool and resto without having to...

This hotel is everything we expected, excellent ocean view, the beach is amazing (it’s a little rocky but you’ll find the way), we knew it was like 5mins walk to the street through mcdonalds. It’s far from town, but any tuc tuc will take you to town for 150 pesos one way. The people there are super nice and they helped us out all the time. They also have an amazing garden, a really nice pool, the restaurant was ok (we had lunch there several times) and people are super nice. It has some corals to snorkel, we saw some clown fish! but you do have a swim for a while. One of the negative aspect was that there is no hot water. I told them about it and they replied to me saying that I could boil it myself or ask for hot water (but there is no phone in the room and whatsapp is not always efficient). So, for me it was a big issue taking a shower at night; for my partner it wasn’t a problem at all. That said, we stayed there 4 nights and only the last one they sent us 2 thermos with hot water and I could finally have a nice shower (with a bucket of course). Another issue we had was payment. We booked and payed through Agoda. So we expected to pay by card our expenses. No! They don’t accept card! Only cash! It’s imposible to understand; so they changed the currency to us and of course the rate was not the best one. But you cannot have a hotel that doesn’t accept card when I booked and paid the room by card. It doesn’t make sense. Would I recommend this hotel? I really liked it but for me no hot water would be an issue and it didn’t help the beach walk at night if we wanted to have dinner in town… but it has the best beach for sure. Tip: go to the beach during the morning, the afternoon the beach is...

The low score is due the the event coordinator who ran away with the Newly wed’s deposit money for all their vendors! The event coordinator is the son of the hotel owner. Apparently this isn’t the first time— a few warned about the “son” and some hearsay on the alleged “family scam” If you are booking here please triple and triple confirm you have a room! Cause the wedding held here last November had a mix up with the booking and had to be relocated to orange pearl! If you’re getting married still on this spot I urge you to get an outside coordinator. And do a site meeting with all parties involved BUT To be frank, it’s a good resort! Pretty and the beach cottages were decent but I don’t think it is worth the price — unless of course the price is going to the beach front access and the best view of the sunset then maybe yea it’s a little bit still too pricey.. there didn’t seem to be a house keeping service for the cottages number 5 didn’t have hot water but the best house is cottage number 5 Breakfast was small portion but delicious It was expensive for alacarte

Location is amazing but our room is not. You have to walk quite long from McDonald's El Nido to Las Cabañas. We paid ₱17,000 for 2 nights stay at their Budget Twin Room with Private Bathroom. It's not a great place to stay. The apartment seems like a remodeled old house. It's finishing is mediocre. Electrical outlets are not placed in the best spots. Lights are not very bright/inadequate for the space. The bathroom is also mediocre. The sink is too small. There are no fixtures for hanging towels or clothes. The water pressure is good but not very strong. There is no bidet. Wifi inside the villa was also very slow during our stay. Only Smart network sims have a signal in the area. Faster wifi is available around the reception area. Pool is nice and slightly warm. The sand is really fine. The beach is rocky on some parts. The view is one of a kind. Menu prices start from P300 except for beverages. We liked the tomato pasta. Their food is decent. Staff's service is good but they're unresponsive after 9PM. The sunset was great but we won't come back here to stay.
