The food was good - in particular I thought the pizza was excellently cooked and crispy. The pasta was OK but not amazing. If I went back I'd probably go for the pizza again.
The prices were high-ish but I suppose part of that is that this beach is a bit further out from the main town - I think at least a couple of the other restaurants along this beach were also a bit more pricy than the town. Still, it's definitely not the cheapest spot in El Nido.
The staff were helpful and quick and our food arrived fairly speedily.
My only complaint - this might sound stupid and maybe other people would disagree - I didn't really understand why they were trying to give the place some kinda disco/nightclub vibes. The first time we went there, there was a DJ who seemed to be having some issues with sound quality which went on for over 30 minutes I think and sounded awful - at least the second time we went, there was no DJ and they just had a more neutral playlist on. Both visits, they had swirling multi-coloured lights in the ceiling like it was some kind of disco - maybe partly because I'd been on a boat a lot, the swirling lights across the table and my food while I was trying to eat made me feel a bit sick. The second time we actually sat up on the raised front by the beach which was less comfortable but at least I didn't have to eat pizza with stupid disco lights strobing across it. I don't even really understand why the restaurant is trying so hard for this vibe - as far as I could see the only other guests when we were there were couples in their 30s/40s and a big family group.
Basically - I like the place, the view of the beach is very nice, and the pizza was pretty good (I'm really giving the 5 stars for an excellently cooked pizza) but the swirling lights and music were just irritating - I'm not blaming the staff by the way (the staff were good) as I'm guessing that it was management that assumed I wanted some kind of student union ambience...
Read moreWe arrived at this beautiful spot for lunchtime. We ordered a coffee, some cocktails and we really enjoyed them. We decide to order some food, we picked 2 of their signature dishes and a special of the day. After the order was placed the waiter came back saying 2 of the 3 items we ordered were not available. -.- what?! Both signature dishes were not available.
So I opt for another item while I think about something. Again… not available.
Then I choose other 2 dishes, the chicken taco and the carne asada fajita.
Chicken taco was okay but way too oily, like 4 spoons of oil on the plate. Carne asada fajita was nice but for 1200 php I expected some more meat. The special of the day was the burger…. The meat inside was nice but the special was a bit of a scam.
One more thing… the amaretto sour is not well made, had a tiny layer of egg while on top and had way to much sugar.
The point is… the food is not the main caracter here. They have a big and equipped kitchen, but don’t know how to use it. The view is stunning!
I also posted the foto of each menu page since was impossible for me to know their menu before sitting down since they don’t have it on facebook or neither on a website (at the time of...
Read morePizza was great!! Crust was light and crispy and toppings were tasty!! Staff was wonderful and accommodating. The views of the sunset were great, and had great music that wasn't overpowering. They take cards (which is a huge bonus in this area)! They have the biggest fans of any of the restaurants we ate at, that they moved to keep our table cool in the heat. They have REAL full sized napkins!! Not the thin little finger wipes every other establishment here has... They have a great Vodka selection at the bar, Grey Goose, Belvedere, lots of Absolute flavors, and more. As well as a decent Scotch selection that went as high as Glenlivet 18 and Johnny...
