The Beach Shack — Restaurant in El Nido

first morning we ordered the breakfast deal where you got egg, coffee, juice and fruit as it says on the menu. I wanted coffee instead of tea but this was all very difficult. after the bartender came over it was finally ok when my friend went to sort it out with him. the breakfast was top notch and we got mango, watermelon and bananas and a juice plus coffee and tea. A great deal, but you still have to add 10 percent for service costs. day 2 we ordered the same thing and they made a fuss about the tea again, too bad. furthermore we didn't get any more juice, it had now become 1 of 2 and we each got 4 slices of watermelon. it was a scale and sparse breakfast and certainly below par for this price. One day you don't give everything and the 2nd day you don't even give half of day 1 and that for the same price. No one was having breakfast but maybe this is the reason. maybe nice for a drink or sunset but go eat somewhere else for that money...

We stumbled upon this place while walking along Vanilla Beach last April 6th, 2022. We honestly intended to go to a different restaurant, but came across the Beach Shack first and we were immediately drawn.

They basically had theater seats to watch the beach and sunset (though it was quite gloomy during our stay). They even had beanbags so you can actually have dinner on the beach :D

Note that there are a lot of stray dogs, so if you're afraid of dogs, you might want to opt for their tables off the beach. All of the dogs we came across were harmless, and as dog lovers, we absolutely loved this place.

They had cool swings that you could use, and amazing music. Perfect place to chill after enjoying the islands.

I looooved their Bacon Cream pasta, but my boyfriend wasn't a fan of their Chicken Teriyaki. Their mango shake was also delish! This is definitely a must visit for us when...

Where to start:

Orange juice : ita one orange then they put water and a LOT of sugar.

Checken burger: It was served with cold chicken - cold as from fridge cold, not that it got cold while it was waiting to be served - they took half precooked chicken from fridge and just slap it in the burger!!!

I complained to theanager, got sorry but I asked not to do a new one as if they are capable to do this I don't want to think what else they are capable and how they cook the food.

It's not enough to have beach place with wonderful view - this needs to be matched with minimum quality of food.

Funny enough young couple before us left their food and left...this should have been first clear...
