Aloha Hostel Siargao — Hotel in General Luna

After 3.5 months of traveling Asia this is the worst hostel I have stayed in especially after paying 9 pound a night the top of the end for what I have been paying recently. From arriving the staff weren’t helpful. My friend and I got shown to our dorm room which was empty. We asked if we could have the bottom bunks and they refused saying there friends were staying there. Only one of the two beds we were given had a mosquito net. The walls here do not go to the ceiling and from head height are just bars upward allowing plenty of insects in. The toilet and shower was far away to get to meaning you got muddy on the journey. In the evenings the water was turned off so we couldn’t shower or brush our teeth. After stressing about these conditions I got to bed to find large kitchen scissors under my pillow and 2 mice running around under my bed. I tried for half an hour to ignore it and get some sleep but the ten dogs that live downstairs we’re going wild and there was no way we would sleep. So I packed my things and left.. coming out of the room of saw 2 very large rats on the landing. I asked for a refund for the following days and got my self out of there as quick as I could. We booked this room last minute due to lack of options and took the double room available. It was not a part of the main hostel (which looked alright) and was instead at the back of the kitchen. It was small and dank with a grubby floor and stained towels. The room was made out of a thin board material with no light and an odd smell. Bathrooms were rather poorly kept and were quite separate from the main hostel area. The bed was relatively comfortable, location was good and at least there was a fan but would not stay here again unless i absolutely had to - you can get much better elsewhere...

We had a sulit breakfast here! When I say sulit it means satisfied. They offer American breakfast and of course Filipino breakfast, you can partner it up with fresh juice to feel the Aloha vibe! They are one of the few resto who is up and served early. They served coffee but the Filipino way and Filipino style other than that we haven't tried their lunch and dinner especially the dessert. More or less they are affordable and just along...
